that pisses me off. Even though WSU didn't qualify for the BCS they should still go to the rose bowl since the Pac 10 champ USC will be playing in the sugar bowl

It will likely be a lower level bowl with the 6-6 record, maybe that one that is in phoenix that i can't remember the name of. If Cal throws to MacArthur all game, they should win.

Cal's actually 7-6 and third in the Pac 10, so they should be going to a decent bowl. Between the Pac 10 and Big 10, 15 teams are going to a bowl game :thumbup

Oregon State is going to lose next week, so Cal will finish tied for 3rd in the Pac-10 with Oregon. I'm not sure who has the tiebreaker between those 2, so Cal will either get the pac-10 3rd or 4th bowl. I also don't know the bowl order of the pac-10, but I do know the pac 10 bowls are the Pacific Life Holiday, Insight, Las Vegas, Silicon Valley, and Sun bowl.

i think the sun bowl is the second pac 10 bowl game and the insight.com bowl is the 3rd pac 10 game

Ok, the pac 10's 4 seed goes to either the insight.com bowl in Phoenix, or the Las Vegas bowl in obviously Las Vegas. The Pac 10 3 seed goes to the sun bowl in El Paso. Link for info like this on all bowls as to what teams go where and such...

Yep. Bowl tie-in's aren't automatic by conference finish. For example, as brought up, the Sun Bowl is "Pac-10 Third." That just means they get to pick third of the bowls with Pac-10 tie-ins. Thus, if they wanted to, they could pick the 5th place team, as long as their eligible for a bowl. Still, the bowls tend to go by placement, since that's usually the best team left.

washington state has no shot at a BCS bowl.....besides the Rose Bowl is still pissed at them for not selling their tickets last year.

Since Ohio State is only gonna drop to 5th in the BCS, they're almost a lock for the Orange or Fiesta. They draw too well.
