The move isn’t official yet, but Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez said the team plans to activate Logan Morrison from the disabled list in time to join the Marlins in Washington on Friday.

He said starting pitcher Javier Vazquez also will return Friday, returning from the bereavement list.

Earlier today, Edwin said Morrison will probably slide into the fifth or sixth spot of the batting order. LoMo has been out since April 20 with a sprained arch in his left foot.

The Marlins did make official two roster moves after tonight’s game to accommodate Morrison and Vazquez: RHP Steve Cishek and OF Bryan Petersen were optioned back to Triple-A New Orleans.

Cishek barely had time to unpack his bags — he arrived earlier this afternoon, as insurance in case the bullpen had a busy night.

So I will be one of the first Marlins fans to see LoMo live since his injury in D.C.!

Hope he tears it up and I hope we at least get a series win if not a sweep!

LoMo is injured no mo'.

*ducks* He intentionally swung at my head!

I know my head isn't that big but come on, it's not a Baseball!

It's even scarier with 3D glasses on
