Remember Conine for Levinski and Bautista, and what might have become Conine for Lee?

Or Urbina for Adrian Gonzalez and two top prospects?

We've given up a lot. Thankfully the players we brought in helped us win, but fact is Urbina was in his contract year and Conine was before his contract was restructed and our minor league system is weakened.

I wouldn't say we got the better end of any of the trades Beinfest has made. Short-term, yes, and while we can't tell yet what comes out in the long term or who the PTBNL might be it's fair to say that it atleast does not hint to favor us.

edit: But I do think that this is the best we could have gotten for Lee. But prior to the breakdown between Lee and O's, I think he had a higher trade value.

What are you talking about? We should see any of those trades as steals. We are the World Champions. As a fan and as an organization, there is nothing more rewarding than winning the World Series.

derek lee never played that long with sand iego. it wasnt 454 abs edcanes..

Your right Bubbles Beinfest it was in Fla where he played his first "full" season

A great track record? We'll see 10 years down the line after Adrian and Denny are in the majors.

Yea we will and when Stokes and some of those marlins pitching prospects are in the majors.

also, i think white craka is a very intelligent person

I think so too i shouldve added "sarcasm" in parantheses

dude, we won a WS

that is all that matters

I have a strong feeling that D. Lee will hit 40 HRs or more at Wrigley. I mean, look at the number of homers hit during the NLCS there.

theres no doubt in my mind that lee is gonna have a great time at wrigley...

u know what would be really funny.. if Choi breaksout and does better than Lee... it can hwppen to

I'm not sure it could happen this year, but in the long run, you are correct that Choi could definitely end up being a better player than Lee.

You want an example of what Lee is going at Wrigley look at what P Wilson did in Coors, a perfect example of what a couple of free swingers do once they leave the shadows of the Pro. I hope Choi has the similar kind of year Pierre had once he came over, it made it easier to forget about P Wilson and the year he was putting up.
