What about Jeff Conine? He runs the count, hits the opposite way and can place a sac fly on command. He's solid run producer and should thrive behind JP and Luis. If/when Pudge leaves, it's between him and Cabrera. I'm sorry, but I go with the prodigy. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Brian Banks as an option to hit 3rd yet. If he ever plays, I wouldn't doubt it. He is one of the most underrated 4th/5th OFers in the game.
