November 26, 200322 yr We haven't signed everyone yet and we odn't know who we'll sign, but with Pierre and Louie (If he signs) back at the top, the number three hitter should be either Mike Lowell or Cabs. Lowell can get his share of hits and can hit around .300 and he can go the other way too. Plus he has power. Cabs has all that except a poor batting average. Any comments?

He didn't have a great year based on his standards, but still he drove in runs hit for a great average, managed the pitching staff, and brought much needed leadership. I agree we shouldn't give him what Boras is asking, but no one is going to give him what Boras is asking for. I have a feeling he'll find this out real fast and we'll be able to sign up for 3 years 7-8 million a year.

Because Pudge will be hitting 3rd. I definetly don't think Lowell will be hitting 3rd. He'll bat 5th.

If/when Pudge leaves, it's between him and Cabrera. I'm sorry, but I go with the prodigy. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Brian Banks as an option to hit 3rd yet. If he ever plays, I wouldn't doubt it. He is one of the most underrated 4th/5th OFers in the game. Swith hitter that has gap power and walks a ton.
