I love the double team threat of Leo and Choate in this game... :fit ..nope, this one sums up feelings... :raining

Leo did great tonight.

He allowed one hit to a very good hitter.

The very good hitter should've never been up to hit. Fowler's hit was a piece of sh*t and, again, he would've been out had the rundown been executed.

Leo also K'd Wigginton in a tough spot in the 8th.

He did very little wrong. Should've had a 4 out save.

The bullpen is the only thing about this team that is really good. The bullpen and Mike Stanton.

Wrong, wrong wrong... pitching wins and loses games silly.

You didn't even watch the game.

I'm not even sure what that comment means.

Before that Dobbs play (which would've ended the game tonight), the bullpen was great, as they've been for most of the year, basically.

Um, Leo Nunez has a blown save next to his name and Choate has a loss, the fact that you try to argue this is ... well you being yourself I guess.

Oh Erick you're such a bully, (you're probably small and inconvenient) and you make up for it on a forum board, good for you dude.

Dude, you're the only one acting like a total asshat. Knock it off. Erick does that all the time, and has been doing that for a long time. People are used to it. It's called sarcasm.

Wrong, wrong wrong... pitching wins and loses games silly.

Pitching wins and loses games in connection with the offense, equal yet opposite.

Defense only wins games by getting outs.

What??? I don't even know what your first sentence means, and no wrong, so silly Dr bean, pitching wins and loses games, pitchers give up runs not defenders! silly! :p

If Greg Dobbs makes a routine play, Leo Nunez has a save next to his name. A 4 out save, as well. I guess that's what happens when you have horrible defensive players on the field, though.

And Choate actually doesn't get the loss, guy who can't even read the box score correctly.

No, he doesn't. Leo Nunez has the loss, too. Unfairly.

It's called being an arrogant prick, and I would call you out if you did it too, unfortunately I had you on ignore for like 2 months so I wasn't really able to quote you a lot or respond to anything. lol.

Our MVP showed his great defensive skills and made a great throw to 1B.

Right. Because that is the single reason we lost the game.

Actually, it is. If he makes a routine throw, the game is over.

Dobbs didn't put any of those runners on or give up the HR to Giambi. It's not his fault.

Millions of factors could have changed the game. It is what it is.

But to put the entire loss on Dobbs is crazy.

Leo hadn't put a baserunner on at the time.

The bullpen had been lights out all night.

Again, if Dobbs makes a simple throw, the game is over. I'm not sure how else to say it. He deserves the majority of the blame, without a doubt.

There's no arguing that Dobbs should have made the throw and eventually the rundown would have resulted in an out. But I'm just saying that one incident doesn't lose the game. Especially when it doesn't directly result in a run.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen posted on here.

And there have been plenty of dumb things said.

According to you, pitchers are supposed to strike out every batter they face since defense basically means nothing.

I mean, we're not even talking about a play that required range; we're talking about a ROUTINE THROW THAT WOULD HAVE ENDED THE GAME.

And you're blaming the closer who gets a clean 4 out save had the routine throw been made.

Herp! Using the strikeout command makes so much sense in this situation  No wonder you don't know what it means, you probably didn't bother to read it. Let me spell it out for you.

Pitching and offense are equal yet opposite forces. They work on the two columns that determine the outcome of the game. Do you understand that much?

Defense, on the other hand, is given the task of executing an out for a pitcher. If they cannot do that (granted they are given the task in the first place), you cannot win the game because the game will never end. Now, I can spell this out some more for you, because I know I used some big boy logic. If you'd like me to, let me know.

Once again don't put words in my mouth.

Pitching wins and loses games you can twist it any f***ing way you want and at the end of the day pitching is still what wins and loses games.

Ask yourself at the end of every game who had better pitching and I'm pretty sure the team with better pitching will win more than 95% of the time.

You know what will bring MB.com back together again? A win? Nah...

Vazquez getting 2,500 career K's this season...

Ye...

But, like, it would've directly resulted in the end of the game.

Why should Leo Nunez get the blame for this? Because he allowed a base hit to Carlos Gonzalez?

If Dobbs makes a throw you could have made, we're talking about Leo Nunez having his most impressive outing of the year and, arguably, the most impressive of his Marlins career. I'm pretty sure this is the first time he had been called on to get a save of more than 3 outs, and he deserved the save.

Nobody here is being arrogant except for you. You get upset when the majority of people who post here don't agree with your outlandish claims and then you make a shitstorm about it.

Good for you, feel free to ignore me again. In fact, you should just ignore everybody so that when someone tries to tell you how stupid you sound... you don't have to hear about it!

I read the bold then I stopped reading and started looking for a the K key on my keyboard, then I pressed it, for strikeout.

The funniest thing about your comments is that you seem to actually like the Seattle Mariners, as well.

The Seattle Mariners have very good pitching, yet they continue to suck because their offense always sucks.

Pitching isn't the only aspect of baseball.

And defense is supposed to help the pitching. When they don't on obvious routine plays (not that you would know, since you didn't even watch), the defense deserves plenty of blame.

Executing a rundown is stuff that's practiced in Spring Training.

Okay it's official, you're just a troll. Either that, or just clueless.

Well, I wasn't at home to watch the game, but from reading the play-by-play, it sounded like a pop-up with 2 outs in the 9th that dropped in is what lost the game, basically, not this "Dobbs play" that I'm hearing of.

The pop fly was uncatchable. Boni + amezaga couldnt get to it so....yeah.

Ah, OK. Was anyone covering second or was it a "let's all watch the ball and not pay attention to a possibility of a runner advancing" situation?

It was the same play.

Fowler hit a sh*t bloop hit off of Nunez, but he was halfway to 2B when Dobbs caught the ball for a rundown. Instead of making a routine throw and executing a rundown to end the game, Dobbs threw one that left Gaby on the floor eating dirt and Fowler advanced to 2B.
