New ballpark buzz

Featured Replies

I am starting to feel a buzz for next year from a whole lot of people that never have paid much attention to the team before this....

Even my good friends who were against the ballpark (most of them) are starting to get excited about going to games next year and are also glad about the rebranding of the team....It's almost as if NOW they feel it is Miami's team....

I know its a lot, but I would love to see the area embrace the team the way the other cities do....

I think it really has to do with how well the team performs. If I'm not mistaken, attendance rose consistently after every World Series win and then shot down after the team was dismantled. I don't believe this franchise has given the potential fanbase a real shot of expanding. Hopefully if they can have a 5-6 year string where they either make the playoffs or are battling for a spot until the very end, we'll see a larger fanbase surface.

This is typical Miami sports to me, they show up just to be seen. they'll show up for as long as their interest lasts( which won't be for too long) and then they'll disappear.
