May 16, 201214 yr My family and I are taking a trip to California this year. The plan is to fly to SF - drive to Monterey area, Yosemite, Seqouia, and then to LA (family there). This will be my first trip to California - What are the must-sees/to dos in these areas? The trip will be between 9-11 days. Thanks.
May 16, 201214 yr Oh, and I'd also recommend going through Napa since it sounds like you'll have a car. There are also trains or busses or whatever up to Napa, although they're not cheap.
May 19, 201214 yr South central at night is the place to be for white people. Lots of welcoming faces.
May 22, 201214 yr SF is a great walking city - check out Coit Tower for panaramic view. 17 mile drive / Pebble Beach GC Hearst Castle is cool - old money. Solvang - you'd swear you were in Denmark. LA actually disappointed me - too spread out to enjoy. San Diego is much better if you can get down there for a day or two.
