January 5, 201313 yr I can tell you I had a 20 game plan last year and I won't go to a single one this year. Had a full-81 game. No plans to go this year. Or next. Or any until Loria and Samson are long, long gone. the day they start winning again. Haven't won for a decade, probably won't win for another decade.
January 6, 201313 yr I understand wanting to root for 'your team' but the blind fandom and trust is so despicable

For what it's worth, what I meant by winning was winning seasons/excitement into September. If the team is in playoff contention, (never mind the playoffs), many of the upset fans probably wouldn't stick to their word. Perhaps you're not one of those fans, but certainly it would excite some fans who hate everything about the team now. Because that's the way fans are.

Although, for what it's worth, I probably won't be whining about it months later either.

Erick, you are very knowledgable when it comes to baseball, but with all due respect, you trust this ownership group with a blindfold over your eyes and you're letting them take you for a ride. I'm not saying Loria doesn't care about winning, but he obviously cares more about money. They told the fan base that they were changing their business model when they got into the new stadium. He deceived them by reverting back to the old business model, the same model that has netted them ZERO playoff appearances. Now that they're in their own stadium, they've run out of excuses. There's no reason to have a rebuilding mode in a brand new ballpark. There's no excitement in that. I don't know about you, but some people work hard for their money and they don't want to pay to see a rebuilding team that features young players that either 1) won't pan out or 2) will be traded at some point for prospects. On top of that, the team's front office hasn't done anything to make people believe they can build a playoff caliber team, because they've had nearly a decade to do it and they've failed. The team is trying to be the Rays or the A's, but those teams are way smarter. You can keep putting your time/money into an organization that's making a mockery of baseball in South Florida. I won't.
