So instead of responding to a valid point against your argument, based on the fact that his career OPS is .737, you do s*** like this and I'm the idiot? f*** you, dude.

It wasnt a valid point at all, that is why you got four facepalms. You completely missed the point of the ".588" post from a few days ago. Completely over your head.

That argument has nothing to do with this one. An OPS of .588 is a slump when you compare it to the career OPS of .737. That's the point.

The ".588" post had nothing to do with Saltalamacchia, it was to point out how asinine whatever point you were trying to make was. Basically, it was used as tool to show that you are a moron, even though you do that quite well all on your own.

And I just used it to show you how stupid you are. You can't tell he's in a slump? That fact (that you so cleverly pointed out) didn't help you figure that out?

Yea, you really didn't do anything of the sort, considering you are arguing against points I never made. You are hopeless.

Actually I feel I've succeeded considering you haven't made a counter arguement and can only resort to posting stupid pictures as a response.

So as a Marlins fan/casual MLB fan, um....yea, are...is the team really gonna make a big move or a half assed move? 43-45...6 back of East...would it be better to just have the team make their run on their own with minor league call ups, then make trades in off-season?

Heaney was supposed to be their big move. If that had worked out and we had won a few more games we could have been buyers. I doubt we are at this point.

Jones is the most likely player to be traded. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved McGehee... even Cishek or Alvarez due to their upcoming salaries and considering the ransoms they could get. The only one I would like to see go is Jones, but you never know.

Team isn't going to have a fire sale at 43-45...and that is a firesale.

Jones contract is pretty backloaded so not sure what they can get for him. McGehee and Cishek could definitely fetch something valuable and should be traded for the right price.

They really need to keep HA seeing as we have a quanity over quality thing going on for SP in our system

I am confident Jones' contract is backloaded for this very reason. And I don't think any team desperate for a bat at first, or a corner OF spot, or DH is going to care much about the couple extra million he's owed. Only the Marlins would care about that enough for it to dictate their decision, lol.

McGehee is the second most likely to be dealt IMO, although I believe that would be a huge mistake because there's absolutely nobody left to replace him. Cishek would certainly bring in a great return, but if the FO believes we can compete next season, you just cannot afford to move him considering our bullpen struggles right now.

Henderson is obviously least likely to be moved, for the exact reason you stated. We have quite a bit of pitching depth, but nobody outside of Heaney offers an arm with that kind of upside. Plus next season is only his first year being arbitration eligible, so he's still affordable for a while.

I knew you could do non-Godzilla inducing posts WC! :)

For McGehee, it really just depends on the return imo.

You havent succeeded in anything. You are trying to argue a point I have never made. I didnt bring up the ".588" post to point to that being Saltalamacchia's cieling, I used it to show why your "it happened" statement was asinine. If you cannot figure that out on your ownn, that is just sad.

You didn't see that coming?

No, I absolutely did. I'm a huge fan of Ruggiano (ask Bender).I figured he'd crush at Wrigley and now that he's healthy he seems to be doing just that. He wouldn't have had a chance to be a starter here (would have made a great 4th OF) so good for him he's on the Cubs now. I thought the trade was horrendous especially considering it was a salary move even though they signed Marmol and Furcal. But maybe they get lucky and Bour turns out to be useful.

Agreed 100% on Ruggs, everything about that trade made sense for the Cubs.

If we do end up moving Jones, I also hope Bour can do something. The numbers in NO are just so promising, specifically the BB/K numbers, I almost hope he gets that opportunity. What a pleasant surprise he could turn out to be considering this franchise had, like, zero legit options for a 1B of the future. Him and maybe a Kyle Jensen could make a big time combo over there.
