I am confident Jones' contract is backloaded for this very reason. And I don't think any team desperate for a bat at first, or a corner OF spot, or DH is going to care much about the couple extra million he's owed. Only the Marlins would care about that enough for it to dictate their decision, lol.

McGehee is the second most likely to be dealt IMO, although I believe that would be a huge mistake because there's absolutely nobody left to replace him. Cishek would certainly bring in a great return, but if the FO believes we can compete next season, you just cannot afford to move him considering our bullpen struggles right now.

Henderson is obviously least likely to be moved, for the exact reason you stated. We have quite a bit of pitching depth, but nobody outside of Heaney offers an arm with that kind of upside. Plus next season is only his first year being arbitration eligible, so he's still affordable for a while.

The twist on all this trade stuff is, we''re only two games under .500 and the way the weekend ended its not unlikely to think we could be at .500 or even above it come the all star break. I'm not saying that makes us a playoff team but we're sooo close to teetering at, above, or below .500 that there's no telling what this front office is thinking.

Of course most of us on here would say that be at this level makes us not buyers but that's just us, not the front office. And it's funny how records can look based on recent performances.

Today we''re 43-45... Say we lost the first ten games of the season, and ten days ago we were 33-45 but suddenly went on a smoking hot ten game winning streak to arrive at 43-45 today July 7th... There would be people insisting we're buyers and a potential playoff team heading only upwards from here. then what?

Kevin Gregg pitched well today. He just got unlucky.

Sincerely,

Wild Card

So because I felt that way about one outing that's how I feel about all if them? Now I'm Gregg's biggest fan, is that it? You need to stop instigating shit for no reason.

What you said about Gregg during that first game makes about as much sense as if you said it about Sunday's game.

Wear the shame.

Yes, might as well put words in my mouth. Why not, right? I'm going to just say things for you from now on, we'll see how you like it.
