That's why Jose is awesome. And I don't think he's saying that as a PR line, he genuinely believes that. Whether the team agrees or not is a different story entirely.

it was announced Saturday, there was no game on Monday, so it would have only helped on Sunday plus they needed a starter for Tuesday. A bit picky on this one I say.

eh, it doesnt matter, but it makes no sense to play with a 24 man roster for 2 days (saturday and sunday) when you know he will be on the DL.  No way would any sane team allow him to not miss 15 days after something like that.
