I have a theory. The Marlins only play well when there are low expectations. We saw it all last season. Now at the end of this season when no one's even thinking about them, they go and win 4 series in a row and might be on the way to winning 5 in a row. When they have enough talent, and low expectations, they play well. They just need to somehow keep those low expectations until they can establish themselves as a top contender, then their identity will be set and won't change and their play won't change with expectations.
