Jose is on a strict pitch count and i'm guessing even giving him desmond put him over that. It was the right move to pull him

 

 

Yeah, it was a great move if you don't care about principle and think an additional five pitches is going to destroy him.

 

I don't care about principle when it comes to Jose Fernandez pitching in a werthless game coming back from TJ and then a bicep injury. He never even should have faced desmond.
