Kazmir to Dodgers

Featured Replies

Smart deal given the structure. 16 Mil all three years with an opt out after the first. It gives the Dodgers a chance to see if Kazmir can repeat his 3.10 ERA season, and if he does getting the guy for 2 years and 32 mil is a nice deal given the current market. There isn't a long term commitment, there's no need for him to be an ace with Kershaw already there, and he's got experience for a team that will be in the playoffs next year. Good move by an excellent GM in Andrew Friedman.

Thought it was team option. Player option is fine since the contract isn't that crazy.

Great deal for both sides if you ask me. Good for him. Although that Dodger rotation is very LHP.

If Diamondbacks do turn around and sign Howie Kendrick they are going to be scary good if everything falls into place.
