Flashback: Lowell HR, 2003 NLCS Gm1

One of my favorite Marlins moments ever. Mike Lowell became the favorite of countless little kids because of this moment.

My favorite Marlin of all times. A cancer survivor, Lowell was the ultimate professional. An RBI machine and clutch hitter, always played Gold glove caliber defense and never had distractions on and/or off the field. I think he will one day be the Marlins skipper. He has earned the respect of fans and players, active or retired. I also enjoyed his segments in local sports radio shows and for MLB network.

Today marks 18 years he's cancer free according to his twitter.
