And some of these names are intriguing. I believe we had the Ryan Dempster discussion a while back, and I still am a fan of bringing him back for a low salary. Low risk, high reward if the contract is in the right amount. Plus, as someone said, he pitched his best ball here.

Well, El Duque was non-tendered by the Expos today. Maybe if we can sign him cheap he could be a good option at the 5th starter slot until AJ returns? He could then take over long relief in the pen. You know he would be a fan favorite with the crowd just like his brother was.

I would like to see the Marlins sign Helling again. What a solid job he did last year, he can also be another long relief pitcher, along with Tejera.

 

I would also like to sign El Duque. I saw him a couple of days ago training with a pitching coach, down at the park i play at. He lives down here and he should play down here!

We should sign either El Duque or Reed to fill in for awhile, and then move that guy to the bullpen when A.J. comes back
