September 15, 20214 yr Is Trash. I assume Marlins are committed to this stupid little experiment the rest of the season though? Wish they would just bring up the guy they got from the Brewers instead, tbh.

September 15, 20214 yr Is this like how Cliff Floyd is actually Cornelius Clifford Floyd? Is Alex Jackson actually Austin Alex Jackson?
September 15, 20214 yr Pretty sure you mean Alex. Either way. Yes, committing til the end of year, why not?
September 15, 20214 yr Based on the title, I am pretty sure that @Das Texan never attended North Florida.

Yes, committing til the end of year, why not? because even though he is struggling so far in AAA for the Marlins, Payton Henry sounds like a far more intriguing and better long term prospect? Jackson is the trash catcher all assumed he was. Especially the Braves.

September 15, 20214 yr You'd hope they go even harder for a catcher this offseason. They had questions about Alfaro a year ago and he answered those questions pretty conclusively once again so there shouldn't be any excuses to not move on from him now. He's proven he isn't the guy.

When they benched him for Wallach in playoffs, that should have confirmed it IMO. Huge mistake sticking with him after that.
September 15, 20214 yr Author too bad the market for free agent catchers is pretty fucking thin. the trade market wont be much more robust. opportunity lost.

Agreed but I'm saying they even gave him another year to confirm it and he double stamped it lol. This goes back to my post of a few weeks ago about Kim Ng, having 2021 under her belt is gonna make her 2022 decisions even more amplified because she got a full season of this crap already. Nothing should be a question mark for her anymore.
