If I had another nomination, I would go with Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Very underrated show.

wonder years has nothing on Boy Meets world... i guess cuz i was only like 5-6 when that show was running i thought it was gay... i love boy meets world i too have seen every episode...

Their main character is a boy who's going through junior high/high school and has a best friend and they're in love with a girl. It's just that one took place decades ago and one is more 90's/21st Century.

well they both had some weird a** names, I'll tell you that.

Topanga is not weird if you live in L.A., the entertainment capital of the world.

Topanga is the name of large street in L.A. that ends at Pacific Coast Highway near Topanga and Will Rogers State beaches and there is a small community on that road that is called Topanga.

I live about a 1/2 mile from Topanga Blvd. and about 2 1/2 miles from Topanga, though about 25 miles from Hollywood, Ca.

So she is named after a local street name in big L.A.

 

California has different and many old Spanish names because the Spanish and Mexicans once owned California. The treaty that gave California to the U.S., states that the Spanish culture will be preserved, (not many people know that).

 

If you ever come to L.A., you probably will not see Topanga Blvd, unless you drive to Malibu. But most Florida people don't like California beaches because the water is cold in California.

Topanga in high school days (before she got too chunky) is hotter than Winnie by far.
