January 7, 200422 yr He's lied for the last 14 years and now when he admits about gambling on baseball, he still cant admit that he did it in the clubhouse. What difference does it make.
January 7, 200422 yr mlb are a bunch of hypocrites they say they dont want to deal with rose, but when they can have a nice moment with the all century team and increase attention, they bring him out. mlb needs to make a stand against this guy and shut him out completely
January 7, 200422 yr I have to agree with Rose. Players being caught numerous times using illegal drugs were able to come back and play. Rose gambles on games and is shut out completely...not fair. Bring him back in all aspects of the game. The only reason he is admitting he bet on baseball is that Bud already made a deal with him that if he did admit it, he would be reinstated, IMO. No one is perfect and people always make mistakes. There is no issue on the integrity of the sport, drug related problems are much worse than betting. No admission was made on betting against his own team.
January 7, 200422 yr ok what Pete Rose did is an awful thing. But he did this while COACHING!!! If you Ban him, ban him from coaching. You go to the Hall of Fame for your on-field performance. He set a bunch of records and he DESERVES to be in the HOF!
