lol Jimenez over sanoja? What a stupid ass organization

It feels like they are trying to more justify these small moves (like Slater) instead of trying to win.

Even if they are going to platoon, they have to do more of a semi platoon. Maybe don't have Hicks, Conine, and Caissie in the lineup at the same time. But you can't keep them all out at the same time unless the righty platoon guys are hitting at the time.

I don't like it either, but I can sort of understand it. As a former top prospect they want to see if he can play. They have to keep him on the roster since he's out of options and they'll have a decision to make once Stowers gets back.

Like I get that they want to see what they have in guys like Slater, etc. But why do they have to put slater leadoff and have to break up all the guys why are hitting well with someone struggling?

The answer is this is not a team concerned at all with winning this year. They’re giving these DFAd by other teams guys shots in case they hit they can trade them. This is still an evaluation year and they could care less about actually winning games

Not Slater. He's washed. Jimenez at least is young. Maybe they feel they have another Otto or Edward's?

This is accurate.

Eury over 50 pitches although the error did cost him like 15

His command is off again today.

Seems to be the default. When the command is on, it is noteworthy....

Such easy power for Conine. Please stop platooning him.

Fun fact, his numbers are better vs LHP. There is absolutely no reason to platoon him until that changes.
