Stowers is still rusty from his injury. He is still in spring training mode and his timing is off. Hopefully he can shake the rust off and get into a groove soon.

They could use an innings eater instead of a bunch of specialty/niche guys. I think eventually that will be Junk (or Braxton perhaps). If it isn't Junk, that is a good problem to have because it means he is pitching well enough to stay in the rotation.

Stowers has had a 2/3 of an excellent mlb season but nothing about his career before then suggests it’s sustainable or repeatable. Hes probably not this bad but he’s not as good as last year either.

Agreed and he is on the older end of the spectrum for a guy who hasn't played a lot in the majors. Hence why an extension that many were crying about is and was not a good idea. Still think he will get right and be useful the next couple of years.
