MIAMI ? The Florida Marlins announced today the 2004 Bank United Marlins Caravan will take place Saturday, January 31st through Friday, February 6th and will culminate with the Ninth Annual Bank United FanFest at Pro Player Stadium on Saturday, February 7th. To help kickoff the caravan on January 31st, fans will

have the opportunity to participate in the Marlins Select-A-Seat Day from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Pro Player Stadium. Fans will be able to pick their seat locations when they purchase full-season, half-season or 20-game ticket plans, call 1.877.MARLINS for more information.

 

The caravan will feature Marlins players, front office executives, Billy the Marlin and the World Series Trophy making appearances throughout the week from Palm Beach County to Broward County to Dade County. The caravan will begin with the Jose A. Perez Golf Classic at Doral beginning at 7:00 am on January 31st. Marlins players, coaches, executives, Billy the Marlin and the World Series Trophy will be at Doral. The golf tournament will benefit the University of Miami ALS Foundation. The caravan will continue throughout the week and conclude Friday night with a final stop at the Aventura Mall.

 

Caravan stops are currently scheduled for Bank United, Shula?s Steak 2, Miami Tropical Marathon, Dolphin Mall, UM Convocation Center, American Airlines Arena, Roger Dean Stadium, JC Martin Jewelers, HCA

Hospital, Publix, Joe DiMaggio Children?s Hospital, Hollywood Greyhound Track, Miccosukee Resort and Gaming, Coco Walk, Tenet Hospital, Marlins en Miami Store and Aventura Mall. The caravan will also visit several elementary schools. A complete caravan schedule with dates, times and locations will be released at a

later date. All caravan stops are subject to change.

 

On Saturday, February 7th, Marlins fans are invited to the Ninth Annual Bank United FanFest at Pro Player Stadium from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Individual tickets for the 2004 season will go on sale for the first time beginning at 9:00 am at FanFest. FanFest is a day of fun for the whole family and includes autograph sessions with Marlins players, town hall meetings with Marlins executives and players, a baseball card and memorabilia show, interactive games, a baseball history exhibit, a bubble gum blowing contest and live broadcasts from

WQAM and WQBA. Fans will also have the opportunity to register for the Marlins Mermaids auditions scheduled for Sunday, February 8th. The Marlins Mermaids are the official energy team of the Florida Marlins, please call Tanya Renkaiewicz at 305.626.7334 for registration information.

Here's a heads up for all you guys that have the Flex plan option....call 1-877-Marlins or an account executive up to get some of the seats before they go on sale....for example, you want 3 tickets for opening day?! then just call the sales office and they'll help you out now so you're guaranteed the best seats.....
