February 7, 200422 yr i liked DS9...wish our local Fox station would stop showing Star Trek: Jeri Ry--er, Voyager re-runs and show DS9.
February 8, 200422 yr There is simply no contest... The Next Generation owns them all. I have nothing against the original, but I just can't take William Shatner... He has to be the worst actor that ever lived. No one comes close to match Captain Pickard. Plus, they had the Borg. Borg are the best bad guys in any of the series.
February 8, 200422 yr Captain Picard, Locutus, and Q are the three best characters in Star Trek history. What? They were all in the same series? Duh! The Next Generation. The only real non-TNG character I like is Spock. And he was a guest star in a few of the episodes!

February 8, 200422 yr Author DS9 has good characters too, although I never liked the Ferengi or Bajorans. The Dominion War helps the show out bigtime. But my favorite minor character on the show was Luther Sloan.
February 8, 200422 yr TNG by far. DS9 took some getting accustomed to, but once i got used to it, it was pretty good, too. unfortunately, it wasn't as interesting/adventuresome as TNG. i absolutely hated voyager. and i haven't seen the other two.
February 8, 200422 yr TNG Better plots, more adventurous, and the best acted series. DS9 was a disappointment for me. After the great advances TNG made from the original, I was expecting so much more from DS9. Guess my expectations were too high.

Shatner and Spock ruled. and without the first show the rest of them wouldn't even exist. I voted for TNG. DS9 was decent too, but how could you not like the original?? especially if you're old enough to have watched it before the newer shows started!

That doesn't mean that the series were bad. Spock is the best. You're right, we wouldn't ever have TNG if it wasn't for the first one. However, that doesn't change the fact that Shatner sucks at acting. :mischief
