February 15, 200422 yr ESPN.com news services The New York Knicks have completed a three-way trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks, ESPN's Stephen Smith reports. Atlanta center Nazr Mohammed and Bucks forward Tim Thomas will go to New York and the Knicks will send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee. Also, New York's Michael Doleac and Bucks center Joel Przybilla will head to Atlanta as part of the deal. The deal is expected to be announced later Sunday. With the two deals, Thomas continues to sever ties with the Scott Layden regime. Layden acquired Van Horn in August in a controversial trade for Latrell Sprewell. Doleac was signed last year as a free agent. I really dont get why teams keep trading for Van Horn and why the Bucks did this while there like the 5th seed in the playoffs as of now. This might ruin the team chemistry. I'm going to guess its for cap reason because I know Tim Thomas had a fairly large contract with more years than Van Horn. Article
February 15, 200422 yr Exactly... I dont think this makes much sense at all. Why would either team mess with chemistry.Theyve been doing so well.
February 15, 200422 yr I'm actually starting to feel bad for KVH. He's been shipped around like it's nothing. And I mean he can definitely make shots, if he could play some D and be more consistent, he could be a great player.
February 15, 200422 yr van horn is vastly overrated. he is a shooter and thats all. not worthy of the contract he got...but some organizations are just not smart.

I agree, Milwaukee and the Knicks have been playing good ball as of late, but to shake up the chemistry now is abnormal. I hope both of those teams fall out of the playoff race now.

Hopefully that means better chances for the Miami Heat to grab a spot. :hat
February 16, 200422 yr van horn is vastly overrated. he is a shooter and thats all. not worthy of the contract he got...but some organizations are just not smart. 7.3 rebounds a game is pretty good for a "shooter and thats all" And he may not be worthy of his deal, but neither is Tim Thomas and Van Horn's a better rebounder and shooter than Thomas, so the Bucks got better.
February 16, 200422 yr van horn is 6 10. any player of his size that cannot get 7 rebounds a game playing the minutes he plays REALLY sucks. for somone making the money he makes for a glorified shooter...which is his biggest asset.....that is riduclious.

Tim Thomas is the exact same height, plays 1 less minute a game, and only averages 5 rebounds, so you've proven my point. The Bucks upgraded and Van Horn only makes 1.5 million more than Thomas.
February 16, 200422 yr thomas also sucks. i swear some GMs in this league are just stupider than you can imagine.
February 16, 200422 yr just incidently.... van horn gets overly criticized. is he worth the salary he gets? no. he is a decent player though...but not someone i want on my team long term at that salary. thomas will get eaten alive while van horn 'should' improve not having to deal with the east coast media.
February 16, 200422 yr Thomas is gonna light s*** up you watch :thumbup :sleeping Wake up, Ramp. Thomas is past the upside stage, he is what he is, medicore. Van Horn's not much better, but he IS better and he will help Milwaukee more than Thomas will help New York.
February 16, 200422 yr its between 3 eastern conference teams and all the players in the deal suck who cares.

February 16, 200422 yr thomas will be eaten alive by the new york media. it usually helps if you have thick skin and/or talent if you want to survive there.

Second, I'll take the upside of a 21-year old shortstop with less than a half season of MLB action over a guy who's been a pro basketball player for 6 years now. Thanks. Nice try though.
February 16, 200422 yr its between 3 eastern conference teams and all the players in the deal suck who cares. i care. you might be the only person in America. all i'm saying is it makes no difference in the long run being that these teams won't make it past the 1st round of the playoffs if they make the playoffs. p.s. yo Ramp you like my Avatar, I hear that guy is from Bloomington.
