DT's Prediction: Dontrelle Willis goes out there and pitches one hell of a game.. but loses 1-0 because the Marlins' offense is just embrassing

If they can't hit a guy like Darren Oliver, they might as well pack it in.

 

Also, keep in mind Dontrelle Willis's longest outing this season in AA was 98 pitches, so hopefully Torborg doesn't go nuts with him.

My guess is that they'll let him go 75-85 pitches - I think that was Beckett's pitch count when he first came out.

Great game...

definitely was a great game. I was there and just the vibe was wow..

Yeah I was there too. Smallish crowd, but we were cheering Dontrelle every inning. That kid can swing the bat too, he made 2 outs but he hit both very hard.

 

I thought it was going to be another game of not coming through in clutch spots, but Encarnacion came up with a 2-rbi double down the line, then the big daddy walk-off homer. I love leaving a game with that feeling. Hopefully this will spark the team a little.

 

Nice outing by Willis, he gave up the solo shot to Preston, but for the most part he stayed around the plate, threw strikes, and didn't give in. He hung in there & gave the team a nice lift I think.

Juan gave the team a boost last night.....
