May 13, 200323 yr He's getting closer and closer everyday to that "mendoza line".. currently batting .240 :plain :confused
May 13, 200323 yr Yea i think Bill Robinson should work a little with him. He has been doing terrible, i dont know why Jack put him 4th Last night. We need D.Lee's power and defense in the lineup so might as well work on his hitting if he doesnt want to be traded...
May 13, 200323 yr Author I think Trader Jack will give him some chance to redeem himself.. but let say after 4 or 5 games.. he's getting him out of there..
May 13, 200323 yr Castillo Hollandsworth Lowell Pudge Gonzalez Encarnacion Lee and Banks Pierre Pitcher You could interchange Gonzalez and Encarancion. Pierre is struggling and the speed at the bottom of the order could be interesting.....
May 14, 200323 yr Castillo Hollandsworth Lowell Pudge Gonzalez Encarnacion Lee and Banks Pierre Pitcher Intresting lineup...Pierre was projected to be at the 8th hole before the season started. I think Mckeon will put a lineup like that in the future. Pierre isnt struggling just he is getting walked alot....
May 14, 200323 yr I originally proposed Hollandsworth in the 2 hole in Spring Training provided he could hit and make consistent contact. He is donig that now. I am quite thrilled with his progression this season.
May 14, 200323 yr My Lineup: Pierre Castillo Lowell Pudge Encarnacion/Hollandsworth Encarnacion/Hollandsworth Sea Bass DLee
May 14, 200323 yr He is donig that now. I am quite thrilled with his progression this season. Ay yi yi...? thrilled at H'Worthless?? you're making my head hurt? :banghead
May 14, 200323 yr West Coast man I guess? this last 6 game homestand he hit .464 or something like that
May 14, 200323 yr West Coast man I guess? huh? i think play meant that Hollandsworth only plays well on the West Coast? i could be wrong though
May 14, 200323 yr Jack insists on keeping him in the cleanup spot and last night he went 2-4 with a HR. We need Derrek to have a successful offense and hopefully this confidence placed in him by Jack will turn him around earlier than post ASB! :plain
May 14, 200323 yr Author West Coast man I guess? this last 6 game homestand he hit .464 or something like that play is still a little pissed we got rid of Millar ... but Millar is currently batting .293.. and in the last 7 days is batting .182... and Doublesworth is currently batting .297.. and in the last 7 days he's batting .556 :w00t
May 14, 200323 yr Nice point DT, but I believe Millar will finish over .300 and at least 20 homers. Mr. Doublesworth is so hot right now though! :plain
May 14, 200323 yr I think it is time to sit Lee down and give Banks a day at 1B. Get the streak over with and that may take some pressure off of Lee - he is not clutch and the less pressure on him I think the better. I like the guy, but he is not well-suited for JRS and I think he is pressing too hard right now. Give him a break, and let him re-group. He is not going to hit 40 HR ever with the Marlins, and 35 seems like a wild dream right now. Hollandsworth does deserve to be considered the #2. He is currently batting .406 for May and soon those doubles may turn to HR. Problem is though, our #1 hitters havent been hitting well all season, whereas the #2 position has been doing very well (as #1 .247, #2 .351). Castillo seems to be turning the corner and may be ready for #1. However, moving Hollandsworth to #2 may produce more runs because of his power, but it seems the average for our #2 does not need to be improved. Our OBP for the #1 needs improvement though - (OBP #1 .309, #2 .413).
May 15, 200323 yr Very good men! You guys are starting to get the pic! And you know Banker is my new Millar...just think if he played more!! I'm hoping Jack will see what I mean... And I'll NEVER forget you guys making fun of me last year about playing Banks more..You guys RIPPED ME!! hey if Holly is doing something for a change, play him...but here's where my problem lies...IF HE'S NOT, TAKE HIM OUT! and I'm definetly going to give Jack the chance...

May 16, 200323 yr Author Who's sea bass alex gonzalez. :mischief2 From what I heard from Pete Gammons, the Marlins players nicknamed Alex Gonzalez "Sea Bass" because he always looks so unhappy..
