MVP Baseball 2004....

Featured Replies

Yea, I moved A-rod to Yanks, Maddux to Cubs, Mondesi to Pittsburgh and a few other real moves that didn't make the game's cut.

-Too many extra base hits

I agree

-The computer leaves their SP in too long

Well they seem to have someone in the pen by the 4th at the latest but they do give their stater the benefit of the doubt a little too long.

-Not enough walks

I read a few reviews that pointed out this problem but if they pitched more balls it'd be a major pain to get a good pitch to hit IMO.

-Injuries are too frequent

45 minutes ago I'd contest this point but after losing my starting left fielder to an arm fracture for sliding into home for no reason, I agree

How can you make all these move's when you have the marlin's?like how you move players to other teams?

damnit im pissed,

ok im atleast "competitive" on MVP difficulty setting now but i had a 4-3 lead going into the 9th.

i really thought i had my first win on the highest setting out of no where 4 runs score i lose 7-4 I SUCK!

It's just a video game...

Another minor problem I found was that they use the same middle reliever through the whole series. I faced Bruce Chen from the Jays 3 games in a row, also hapened with Boston and Tampa.

Each team seems to have a favorite middle reliever that always warms up first. Yanks have Karsay(I know that cuz DRays play Yanks daily it seems).

I play about 4 or 5 games a day

I play about 3 games daily. Each game takes around 30 minutes so I probably spend around 100 min a day with Mvp.

Not much really.

As I mentioned before, I bought it off Amazon on Saturday or Sunday. It just shipped late Wednesday though, so I probably won't get it until at least Monday :(

I have on minor gripe....some of the players are sooo exagerated. I've seen at least a half dozen diving and running catches by Frank Thomas and Palmero....Frank Thomas!! They should have add a feature to cripple some of the players like they are in real life defensively.

How long can you leave pitchers in before they start wearing their arms away? A friend of mine got the game and I'm curious.

It depend's on their stamina (endurance) i usually go about 6-7 inning's with the pitcher then i do a mound visit and it tell's you the pitcher's reaction positive or negative. If it say's positive it will boost up the stamina,if it say's negative your stamina will go down and it will be hard to throw a strike.

What percent stamina then?

And if they lose the zone, take them out?

Usually if your starter is fresh his percent will be 100% or 99%(not sure if they have 100%),but if he is a reliever and he's tired then the stamina goes to 75 or 67% and it goes lower and lower when you keep on pitching.

When they lose the zone i take them out because it's hard to control the pitches,so yuh take them out.

I take my pitchers out when they dip below 50%. It just makes any pitch that isn't a fastball near impossible to throw.

Damn it. I don't own the game yet because I need money but I go to my cousin's house alot and play. It's the best baseball game ever.

Right now I am 5-4 with the Chicago White Sox and I play on All-Star.

These are my problems with the game:

My pitchers ERA's are way to high because of HR's and extra base hits.

Lowest runs in a game against me was 3.

It's too hard. I remember facing the yankees and jorge posada had like 2 triples and it's just too hard.

I know it sounds like wiening but jeez my lowest ERA is like 3.90 with Buerlue.

too many homeruns and too many extra base hits.

I will never have a shutout and nobody will ever shut out me.

I score very easily. Hitting is no problem for me.

Can anybody help me out with pitching because If I pitch better and I hit like i've been hitting, i will be unbeatable.
