1. The game was tied, maybe they were saving Ramos in case the Mets took the lead? I'm just guessing, I didn't watch the game.
2. Great idea and not just a cheap Marlins plan (for once). Several other teams do this and I'd expect it to gain more popularity around the majors next season.
3. So Volquez went on the DL with a knee injury and now needs elbow surgery? Wtf?
4. According to the Herald, Marlins wanted a return for Straily like the As got for Gray, didn't get it so they kept him.... And multiple teams offered to take Gordon's whole contract for low level prospects but the Marlins didn't want that, implying that Gordon wasn't just gonna be a salary dump, they wanted more value for him. Interesting there I think. Its like if Mike Hill took the day off yesterday lol.
5. Lmao didn't even realize it. I blew my cover!
6. I was walking to my seats with my wife and we're both holding food so I didn't feel like having to do the mission of getting my tickets out of my pocket with food in my hands so I just tried walking past the usher, a new guy I've never seen before, without showing him my tickets. I sit in the same exact seats every time I go so I don't need his help to find my seats, I knew exactly where I was going. Also, plenty of ushers don't even ask to see the tickets so I actually assumed this guy wasn't gonna bother asking me. Well he did ask me but instead of using some degree of respect, politeness and courtesy like someone who works with the public should, I guess he assumed I was trying to pull a fast one on him and he says to me "Hey what are you doing? You trying to sneak by me without showing me your tickets? Didn't your mother ever teach you any manners?" What a pleasant guy. Way to greet a paying customer. Why not start with "Hi can I see your tickets please?" I told him that I know exactly where I'm going, i sit in the same seats every time i come, I didn't need him to show me where to sit, I wasn't trying to sneak by him, I looked him in the face as I was trying to get to my seat. Then he reads my ticket and tells me I'm in the wrong section and I know I wasn't. He says "You're in sec 23" I said I know and he says "You're standing in sec 24" I said what? You know how the aisle between the sections has those metal handrails in between and it basically divides the aisle in half? I was standing on the left side, he was standing on the right side, blocking that half of the aisle with his body. So the left side was closer to sec 24. He says I need to get on the other side I said "You're standing in the way that's why I'm on this side" and I just walked down to my seats. I was pissed for a bit and was gonna complain but I never got his name so basically screw him let karma get him when he pisses off someone else.
7. I had a bad experience with an usher at the ballpark on Friday. Wanted to punch him in the face. Disrespectful shit.
8. I don't think Clark meant that as a knock on trading to get Straily, I think he meant if they decide to trade Straily now then that's the kind of arm they could get in return. I think he was showing the positive side of trading Straily now. It's just a coincidence that Castillo was traded for Straily to begin with and thats what makes the tweet sound like an insult.

11. So what's the point of trading Ellis? Salary dump? Or is it more like the Cubs want him so we'll see what they offer us as opposed to actively trying to trade Ellis?
12. Does he have something to do with Dell computers? Not a joke, seriously asking.
13. 92 of 111 saves... who was it that called Ramos a below average closer here the other day?

15. Lmao Mike Hill probably thinks we got Yoenis. I can't stop laughing this is such a perfect joke. Sometime tomorrow Mike Hill is gonna see Yoenis Cespedes in the Mets lineup and he's gonna call one of his front office people and be like "Didn't we trade for him yesterday?"

17. Per Ken Rosenthal
18. Right elbow strain. Despaigne up.
19. Straily off the market. My guess, just based off the tweets the last two days, is that the Marlins had some top prospect (or prospects) in mind and called that team offering Straily (knowing he has value) and then when they were rejected he was "taken off the market"... meaning they werent actively shopping him but would have traded him to get a specific return that they wanted. This goes along with him being unavailable until yesterday when he was suddenly available but one report said the Marlins initiated the conversation to make him available so thats what this all sounds like to me.
20. Ha! Nice! If we're comparing asses, here's Yelich's ass...
21. Great news all around. I like Straily but I'm not even sure he can keep up the solid first half he's had. It might be all sorts of awesome to trade him now.
22. This is a decent point that never gets discussed. The 2004 and 2005 teams were built to contend and both had winning records and were in the playoff hunts. The team didn't fire sale the 03 team right after their victory. Plus they went big with the Delgado signing. So what happened? Totally on the horrible South Florida fans for just not keeping up with the team right? Can't realistically put too much blame on the Marlins there can we? Even if this is a bandwagon town, you'd think the bandwagon would be strong enough the two seasons after a championship. Does a team literally need to win championships in consecutive years for South Florida fans to continue to care? That's so sad.
