Koehler drawing interest from - Red Sox, mariners, Balt, and tigers - Heyman & Gammons Listening to all the complaints regarding TK one would think he is worseless. And obviously he is in AAA right now. But BIG name clubs are looking at him??? What's up with this that others see worth in him and a lot of us don't? So is he THAT bad or has TK been shagging us OR are there problems in the pitching staff???

They are probably looking at him as a bullpen piece which is what we should have done a while ago.
May 20, 20179 yr Then it is the problem with the FO which is not getting the Marlins SP, lolol. Putting players in the wrong place.
May 20, 20179 yr Hard to believe this is where we are. It really isn't that hard to believe. This roster is so flawed it's not even funny.
May 20, 20179 yr TK has been terrible this year but consistent before that. Don't think they want him in the pen as a start. They probably hope he can bounce back and give them some decent starts. They can afford these kind of backup sps while he's been a sure thing in the Marlins rotation. Don't think he will go though. The suitors will probably try to low ball the fish who will get offended and demand the heavens in return. What a horrible season. Trade ramos and phelps.

It would be hard to trade Ramos as his worth this year is undeterminable. He was terrible last night, and a while back (can't remember what game). This isn't his fault he can't get in to close when the Marlins aren't in the lead in the 9th inning. He needs work, teammates!!
May 20, 20179 yr It really isn't that hard to believe. This roster is so flawed it's not even funny. Lack of depth yes but no one thought it would be this bad, especially the bullpen.

May 21, 20179 yr I don't like the fire sale, never again. My thoughts will be with you within the next year because it's coming.
May 22, 20179 yr Dee Gordon is not getting on base enough and he's not stealing enough bases. Hovering just over .300 OBP will not cut it. "Launch him" as the other poster said. Ozuna is the 2nd best left fielder in NL by WAR and Yelich is 3rd best CF. Marlins have 2nd best outfield WAR in NL. Keep them all. Get rid of Ozuna only if multiple elite starting pitching prospects can be returned. Revamp the infield outside of Bour. Bour is a nice piece. Gordon, and whoever plays SS and 3B when Prado isn't injured need to go. Dietrich is a nice backup piece, but every year it seems he is playing a lot (injuries, suspensions, etc.). Trade Realmuto. Get a defensive and pitcher oriented catcher. Someone who can call a good game and make relationship with young pitchers. REVAMP THE ENTIRE PITCHING STAFF. Launch almost every pitcher on this roster, especially if they have value. Start the rotation from scratch, from pieces from TK/Gordon/Realmuto/Prado/Hech/Ozuna trades. And build bullpen from Bear Claw down. Trading Prado and Stanton might be hard, so keep them if no value is returned.

I agree on keeping Bour, Yelich and J.T, Barraclough, Straily, Phelps
May 22, 20179 yr JT and Yelich should be the only guys untouchable on this roster. Everyone else should be on the trade block. Sell really high on Ozuna if you can. Package up Adeiny or Gordon in a trade. The problem with Marlins being able to pull off trades is they don't want to absorb any of the contracts. That really limits what you can get back. Dealing someone like Gordon won't happen unless they do that.

I like him a lot but he has value. He should bring at least 3 quality specs with 1 or 2 MLB ready pitching specs.

The stars have to align tho for sure.
May 22, 20179 yr Only because JT has value. I like him a lot but he has value. He should bring at least 3 quality specs with 1 or 2 MLB ready pitching specs. But he's also young enough (and probably improving) that if a rebuild works, he would be part of it and probably a big part of it. Losing him and you have no catcher for the rebuild. And I'm shocked you want a defensive first catcher who can develop relationships with the pitching staff... that's Jeff Mathis, in case you forgot.
May 22, 20179 yr A Gordon trade would be interesting but, as is the case with most of these guys, nobody seems like they're gonna bring back much. Either guys are underperforming or have bad contracts or both. The guys who can bring back a lot are the guys we probably shouldn't trade so this whole thing is difficult. And... as I've said probably too many times... I don't want Loria and Hill trading ANYONE. They won't be the leaders of this team in the near future... let the next ownership make the moves. What if Hill gets garbage in return? It would hinder the next ownership's ability to make a contender. Even if they get something of quality, I want the next ownership to start from scratch with their plan and their philosophies and Hill and Co have no clue what that is.
