  1. Sanchez to leadoff is a..choice. This lineup probably one of the slower ones we've put out ever. Very much station to station. Not what we are looking for but X deserves a day off. Could have got to Bradley early and he's tough when he gets going.
  2. Veneziano optioned to Jacksonville. No lefties in pen.
  3. Nigel Belgrave is putting up video game numbers at Pensacola. 15th round pick out of Maryland. Hasn't been closing but starting to think he might be a future bullpen piece.
  4. great job by Tinoco. (and McCullough for getting him right back on the horse). We were one inning away from winning the series at Wrigley. The young guns led the way. More growth and development shown.
  5. Tinoco time. Like that they are running him right back after yesterday's debacle.
  6. "High Leverage" Calvin Faucher sounds like one of those Quebec pro wrestlers. The Maple Leaf Middle Relief Champion of the Province.
  7. Shepardson with 4 shutout innings in start two at the complex. Luis Manuel Leon (remember that name?) had his first breakout game.
  8. The Messiah is a serious Rookie of the Year contender. I forget who we traded for him but that might have been a good move.
  9. Weathers looks great. Remember he's still only 25. Two key pieces, Stowers and Agustin"The Messiah" Ramirez, bashing at the plate. Yes, we have some holes with guys like Mervis and Wagaman but they are just buying us time. BTW, DDLS is starting to heat up a little in AAA. At absolute worst, he's a much younger version of Mervis/Wagaman with room to get better. Keep integrating some prospects slowly, get the rotation and bullpen in order. All of a sudden in 2027 and 2028 we could have something special. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
  10. The weathers is Ryan The posters are crying Agustin is mashing The bullpen is crashing McCullough is tanking Like Reese McGuire spanking The fish need some luck And the Cubs still f''n suck. Let's go Marlins.
  11. We are right on pace for 100 losses. Given that we are getting weathers and eury back, sandy likely will improve, if everything else stays the same we will lose between 96-98 games.
  12. awful outing by Tinoco. Weathers season debut tomorrow.
  13. Norby is back. Nor-BOMBBBBBBBBBB
  14. Fortes just missed there.
  15. Fenwick Trimble promoted to AA after just 28 games in A ball. Was a 5th round pick in last year's draft. Has some good pop in his bat and some speed. Should move up the prospects list and one to keep an eye on.
  16. Nice job getting out of that without a disaster of an inning. Love bringing in Faucher early in the high leverage situation. Hoping for an unexpected Waga-bomb or Merv-missile here. Bellozo has mediocre stuff but he is crafty as hell. He is like a really poor man's Greg Maddux, thus I dub him Mexican Maddux.
  17. We are now 40.5 games through the season which is exactly the 1/4 mark. The Marlins started hot despite some injuries delaying the start of the season for some players and then have cooled off significantly. The win total over/under for the year was 62 and as of now the Fish are almost exactly on that pace. There have been some ups and downs and some positives and negatives but overall the club is pretty much right where they should be. The expectation was that it would be a building year for the future and so far those expectations have been met. The good: The emergence of Agustin Ramirez, Kyle Stowers, and Javier Sanoja paint a bright building block base for the future. Prospects such as Robby Snelling, Adam Mazur, Thomas White, and Andrew Salas all have shown promise as well. The bad: Sandy Alcantara has been slow to recover from his surgery. Jesus Sanchez was hurt and looks pretty bad. Both are possible trade options to build future depth. The ugly: Cal Quantrill and Connor Gillispie were both stop gaps until the prospects are ready but neither has been anything but below average with Gillisipe being downright bad. It's too early to evaluate the trades we made last year but so far we have decidedly won the Trevor Rogers, Jazz, Burger, Jacob Amaya trades. Marginally won the Brujan trade. Pushed on the Arraez and Scott trades and decidedly lost the Luzardo trade. That's a pretty good percentage. Overall, we are on the right path despite the fact we will still lose in the short-term. Continued improvement in all areas will ensure long-term success. Thoughts?
  18. Norby with a nice knock. He's showing signs of getting on track. Big part of our future.
  19. Connor Gillispie 4 er in 5 ip in AAA tonight. At least we don't have to watch that any more. Weathers back tomorrow. Eury progressing in rehab. This year was always going to be a work in progress but we are making all the strides to sustain long-term success. Trust the process.
  20. excuse you. Stowers.
  21. I feel like it was more of the injury risk. Especially with the Cubs pulling the plug. Wish him well, but it is still very early. And Caba is good, his peripherals look excellent he is just more a long-term play that we won't even know how it will turn our in 4-5 years.
  22. Once bad pitch by Quantrill but a pretty decent outing from him. Bats have let us down so far today.
  23. Marlin "legend" Colin Rea. Holds the franchise record for lowest ERA. A record that will never be broken.
  24. Weathers confirmed for Wednesday against Cubs.
  25. sandy still not sandy but a me incremental improvements.lot more swing and miss and velocity was consistently good. Still not hitting his spots though. Eury with another rehab starts, got through 3 innings. About five more starts away for him.
