  1. I warned everyone weeks ago that the Marlins left way too many men on base, but nobody took notice because we were winning at the time. Well look now! Even against the Giants I just wanted to see a game when we won it easy and didn't take things to the wire, but always it was the same. You can't just rely on the pitchers to save you every game. Wake up guys!
  2. 1 run losses aren't "terrible" in my opinion. In fact, when the Marlins lose, they rarely if ever lose big this year... Already they have been involved in 19 one run games in 49 games played. That's almost forty percent. I wonder if that's unusually high or league average. They've also won about 75 percent of their one run games, which is amazing considering those games are usually decided by one or two plays. These things tend to even out as the season progresses, however. I certainly don't expect them to always win one run games. Well,, I think a lot of those 1 run games should never have been so close. I remember too many times when the game should have been over, but we didn't take advantage of an opportunity to score more. I'm actually suprised how many games we have been winning still, but I think a lot of that has been down to the starting pitchers.
  3. News just in!!! JJ implodes
  4. This is a fascinating game.
  5. Johnson is pitching...hopefully the Marlins decide to play well for him for once Maybe he'll JACK some homers... Well the law of averages dictate that this team should actually get some hits for JJ for once. But probably JJ will hit for the cycle as well as pitching a perfect game. Well somebody's got to drive in the runs tonight. Am I being a little too optimistic??

  7. Starting to become my favorite Marlin. Same here. I've been trying to decide, but I'm almost sure about it now.
  8. Double-Play would be useful here...........
  9. Damn Mike, I really wish you would stop swinging at the slider down and away. Yeah, but he just loves the big swings.
  10. JJ's games are always so interesting to watch, partly because he never gets decent run support
  11. It seems a bit early to be talking about the wildcard spot. But looking at the way the other divisions are developing, things are shaping up nicely. I fully expect the Phillies to win this division, but I would still be happy for us to get the wildcard and put us back into the post-season. I guess there's a long way to go, but if we keep trying to win each series then we will find ourselves in a great position in a few months time. JJ tomorrow to get another series win on the board. I'm really impressed with the way the whole team are pulling together and not just relying on the same individuals each night. It's a great sign. Go FIsh!
  12. Interesting pitch count going on there
  13. They need to build on this scoreline, seeing what happened against the Dodgers
  14. This is gonna be a looooooooong game Yep. A lot of hits and runs I think. I'm at work, but I will catch bits on my breaks. Thank God for MLB.TV
  15. nice to see marlins fans from around the world. I'm in Argentina, though i lived in Pembroke Pines from 02 to 06. And yes, i love Sanches and I have him in my fantasy team. he gave me a nice win tonight. Even though im an american, I live in the UK and stay up everynight to 3:00 to watch the Marlins on Mlb.tv :pcguy I like Sanches too, very consistent The best way! Well, now I'm in Latvia not UK, the games don't usually start until 02:00am, but I still see a lot of games.
  16. He's still done an incredible job so far. Agreed, I still like him a lot. I don't really think he can take the blame for the loss. They had the game in their hands in the 9th.
  17. Just watching Sanches' 3rd pitch clear the wall................ Oh, well. I guess that's my fault
  18. Schnellders, You joined this forum on my Birthday. Cool! Thanks everyone for the replies. Nunez saves again! - Go Fish!!
  19. Hello everyone, I am a British fan of the Marlins, currently living in Latvia. The other day I met a guy here in Riga who was from Miami and was a big fan of the Marlins. I remember telling him about some of my favourite players and that Miguel Cabrera was my favourite Marlin. But I was thinking who is my favourite Marlin from the present team roster. Well after tonight's 5-4 game against the Dodgers I'm beginning to think it could be Brian Sanches. Ok, so Brian Sanches currently is 3-0 for the season with an 0.00 ERA and also a 1.000 Batting Average to match. It's a great set of stats to have so far, and although it won't last forever I still like watching this guy throw. Despite staying up so many times last season to see the Marlins I don't really remember so much about him, but now I am really starting to take notice. I guess I was never really that focused on the Marlins Bullpen last year. Anyway, does anyone else like him or if not why? Who is your favourite player in the current roster? And how long do you think Sanches can keep his perfect stats for? It would be great to hear from some fellow Marlins fans here, as it's very rare that I ever meet any. Thanks
  20. Well the Rockies have lost 3 of their last 4 series', so they seem to have hit a bad patch just at the wrong time. They got through 6 pitchers tonight despite a strong outing from Hamels. I think they're choking a bit. We can't expect to go 9-0 or 8-1 from here to end of season, but I think Rockies losing 5 or 6 games is very possible. We've got to throw everything we've got at the Muts, just to be in with a chance come Braves series.
