OK. Here me out. It's Give up or this
Come on man, that's not true. No one bashes the new people, we're all just knowledgeable dudes who expect others to post rational things and or back up seemingly irrational posts with statistics and strong reasoning. I rarely ever post but have been on the board since right when we signed pudge in 03' and signed up in 05' during the Delgado sweepstakes and no one has ever made me feel unwelcome. Then again, I always try my best to not say some outlandish bullshit, or delve into something that I KNOW will cause an uproar (Basically anything about Derek Dietrich or not knowing that the stadium money came from the bed tax lol). I just say it so you don't ever feel targeted on here, and continue to post for a long time. God knows we need to keep it active so one day our kids will be on here fighting with Penguino and Erick lol. With that said, what do you see in Ozuna that makes you think he has to go? I happen to think he is only progressing. He is a high power, high strikeout player. That is who he is, and that is a great weapon to have IMO. Sadly, our team has been put together in a way where almost everyone is essentially a low OBP player, but that's not his fault. He, and mot of our guys this year, seem to be shouldering a lot of the pressure and abandoning their usual approach which is why everyone seems to be in a slump me thinks. In regard to Howard, dude, no way haha. He is terrible bro, and whatever he has accomplished this year is most certainly buoyed by where he plays. Also, as much as I love Ichiro, no way we can handle that huge drop in power from Ozuna to Ichiro.

Wow are things rough right now...
Lmao! Happy birthday big guy!

Alvarez and Latos DL'd
I have this running comment/joke with my buddies that this happened because we lost pudge, so I'm definitely on board with the whole curse thing-especially in Miami. I bet there are headless chickens in Sedano's bags under each of the bases and the pitching rubber. For example, I remember an epic collapse at the end of 2004, which was the same season we had Josias Manzanillo. Dude was weird. So....yeah lol. On that note, good night board, I wish you a swift and complete recovery from the trauma we have endured tonight.

5/22 post game
Or taking naked batting practice! It actually makes me sad to think of that. The guys (as far I know) loved red, and I've never heard anything to assume otherwise. It really pisses me off that they give him the boot when yelich and morse are pretty much under .200, but don't make him manager of the week when dee gordon hits .500 and steals 44 bases. HE'S NOT THE ONE OUT THERE LOOKING RIDICULOUS! And no matter what Loria thinks, red screaming "hit it where they ain't" wouldn't fix shit! If anything, you have a bunch of young kids scared to death of this lingering, ubiquitous pall that is the greedy hand of Jeffrey Loria. He loves to tout our youth, but doesn't understand or interest himself in the struggles and insecurities that can sometimes accompany that very youth. Also, I'm not really a fan of Dietrich, but that a personal relationship between he and Loria is even potentially being thrown around as a reason for him not being on the major league team is absurd. He belonged in the minors, but because of his bat, not his personality. Cause guess what, Loria wants a fiery culture, but then punishes a player (allegedly dietrich) and fires Joe Girardi, both for being outspoken. Hmm. Not trying to jump on the "screw Loria" wagon, but I just want some consistency in this team's reasoning. Idk.

5/22 post game
I really think he's just starting to regress. I honestly hope he turns it around makes me looks stupid for saying it, but I was all for trading him for a couple of pieces in the off season. At the very least, ridding ourselves of his salary (just under 7 mil) could have helped us go after the REAL starting pitching that we needed. Not Mat fucking Latos. As we now see, replacing him with effective internal options was relatively easy. I mean, it's not like AJ is some unexpected wild card. He's been more than effective the last couple of years, and he's insanely affordable at pretty much league minimum. But sadly....

Rrealmuto is WAY too high in this lineup. How the hell is he hitting before Adeiny? I'd be all for them going with hech in the two spot. He's had success there before. Also, Agree with morse and Yelich for two different reasons. Morse because he sucks man ass, and Yelich so that he can get his rhythm back. Not really sure to what degree the contract is affecting him, but he needs some time to get his head together. He has completely lost his approach. With that said, I'm not freaking out about him or anything, he'll come around.

By god, Lawrence, you're right. I'm just on no sleep and for some reason, the marlins affect me like no fucking sports team should ever affect a person. Once again, you have humbled me lol

It's really fucked up, but looking at the main photo of Loria that shows up when you google his name, makes me wish he would die. He looks like a piece of shit, and I hate everything about him.

Who the fuck says this site has to be blue and vomit? I say you keep it throwback for the rest of the year! At the very least, it makes this poster a happier man; and that's gotta be worth something.

I don't know why, but I have a serious fear that this organization is gonna try to rush Jose back sooner just to try to "light a fire" or some stupid cool Miami international bullshit.

It all started with Henry Rodriguez. There was a story in the Miami times about how he and Bobby Bonilla started the botanica on east 4th ave and 41st street and used it as a front to sell drugs. I think Jorge Fabregas made the arrest. I'm so fucking done guys. Why do I stay? Someone earlier described this as some sort of Stockholm syndrome, you nailed it.

Honestly, what could it hurt to bring up some dudes from the minors who have earned the shot? Stanton keeps saying there's no fire, who's more fired up than a bunch of dudes finally getting a shot? Also, maybe a kick in the ass back to triple A for some of these dudes will right the ship, cause god knows they aren't THIS bad.

This season has kind of been like getting stood up at the altar. Like bitch, I told all my family and friends how great this was gonna be, and you made me look like a complete idiot!

Honestly, bringing Cishek in in that situation proved two things to me. Either Jennings is worse than I thought, or they were purposely trying to pull some ego boost/cheer up bullshit, and It pisses me off. I haven't followed the last couple of games so I'm not fully aware what the condition of our bullpen is (in terms of overuse), but there had to be other options. Fuck this. Never thought I'd be turning off the marlins game to read a physics textbook. Thanks Marlins lol

5/2 Post Game
God damn it, that was a beautiful game. But I'm starting to worry about what they're gonna do with Prado when Yelich comes back. I feel like he's really taken off in the two hole and don't really like to mess with what is working. But then again, he's pro enough to keep it up further down in the lineup. But yeah, great fucking game, and I would have to give FOTG to prado for sure, with Dee a very close second.

McGehee Traded to Giants
Not sure if someone posted this, but made me sad. Canada, you free tonight? I need a pal lol Casey McGehee hoped for a longer tenure with Miami Marlins It's pretty much exactly as I said earlier, he's going home to play on a team that has won 3 WS in the last 5 years. This is a great thing for him.

Brian Wilson DFA'd
I say why not? Though our grooming policy would probably wipe out any chance of that magic reappearing.
