  1. Also, notice that Stokes and Gonzalez will be reunited. Looks like they're fielding a very strong team there. Milwaukee has some awesome prospects, and also Khalil Greene is on the team.
  2. Baseball America did a piece on the Arizona fall league, and here's a report on the Peoria Saguaros(Whatever the hell that is) the team that the marlins prospects will be playing for. They talk about Stokes and Willingham. Click on the link to get the whole rosters. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peoria Saguaros BEST POSITION PROSPECT: Jason Stokes, 1b, Marlins Stokes was slowed early by offseason wrist surgery. He regained his power stroke in the middle of the season, but hasn't finished strong. The Marlins cleared his path to the big leagues by dealing Adrian Gonzalez, whom he will split time with in the AFL, to the Rangers. Stokes' plate discipline has suffered this season and will need to improve as he moves towards Florida. BEST PITCHING PROSPECT: Matt Peterson, rhp, Mets Peterson showed flashes in the past two seasons, but consistency eluded him. He broke through this year, emerging as one of the top prospects in the Mets organization. He's projectable with a live arm and a good breaking ball and was more efficient this year in Class A St. Lucie, though he has struggled with his command in Double-A. BOUNCING BACK: Ben Hendrickson, rhp, Brewers Hendrickson missed about half the season with nagging shoulder soreness, and will be looking to rebound. He works with a solid-average fastball and outstanding breaking ball, but he's been unable to find a consistent groove in the second half. EMERGING PROSPECT: Josh Willingham, c, Marlins Willingham is coming back from a nagging knee injury that shelved him for most of the second half, following his promotion to Double-A Carolina. In addition to making up for lost at-bats, Willingham will continue working on the nuances of his new position. He moved behind the plate last fall in instructional league. The former college shortstop has tremendous power. KEEP AN EYE ON: David Wright, 3b, Mets Wright struggled to adjust to the Florida State League, hitting .200 in May and June, before rebounding to hit .301 in July and finish strong in August. Wright's slump was attributed to overworking himself before games, and the Mets altered his schedule. He topped 30 doubles for the second straight season and was working on reaching 40.
  3. Cabs has come through in clutch situations a lot lately. His approach to the plate has been a lot better.
  4. we are hittin it hard tonight though oh ok I had no idea, WMEL isn't broadcasting the game.
  5. Who would of thought our offense would go to Coors and fall into a slump. The bats better wake up quick before it's too late.
  6. someone has to know that that fish is a redfish! No one could understand that, with me typing BIG RED in bold underneath it? I knew what you were talking about. My dad is a big fisherman. He's always talking about going after Reds.

I know you are too young to realize what I am saying. I forgive your incompetence since you need to understand the game better. Hopefully with more age and more experience you will understand in the future. I will leave it at this. You are an a**hole, everyone has the right to their own opinion. I never said you were wrong I just gave my opinion, and all you have done is been rude to everyone that doesn't have the same opinion as you. If anyone needs to grow up it's you.
  8. dammit! What the hell happened to Sea Bass? He's in a terrible slump.
  9. Woo there's 1 and a guy on for the big guns.
  10. Well, lets hope the Marlins brought their bats to the park today.

we dont agree. You say vlad has the more stronger arm. Ichiro has the strongest arm ever. THIS IS FACT. He has never made a throwing error on top of that and is throwing out runners at third percentage is 100%. I think only 3 guys have tried going from first to third on him in his CAREER and all have failed. in conclusion, have you seen this guy make a rare throw to third? I know its rare because nobody dares to try him, but have you seen it? The guy can probably hit an airplane while in flight with a baseball. Ichiro's arm is like Jordans vert, They are both the best ever in those aspects. Have you seen that Nike commercial with that guy from kenya? Scientists have spent millions of dollars too, to see why Ichiro has such a good arm. You obviously didn't see that throw Vlad made against us last year from the wall all the way to homeplate on the fly to nail Tim Raines. Still as far as accuracy Ichiro blows Vlad out of the water.

you are wrong. IT is no contest. Ichiro does not belong on that list because NONE of those boys come close to his arm strength & accuracy. You all can argue for who is #2, but that little japanese dude may have the best arm in the history of baseball. jeez, I agree with you and you rip my head off. I don't get it.

Ichiro he's got the most accurate arm I've ever seen for a guy who's got a cannon for an arm. Vlad may have a stronger arm, but Ichiro's accuracy blows Vlad away.
  14. Happy Birthday Furman.
  15. Also, I read that even after the Diamondbacks world championship they lost a whole bunch of money that year. They were at the top as far as losing money. So winning doesn't solve everything all the time.
  16. Look, I don't know much about the economics of baseball, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that all teams were losing money except for the Yankees and a couple of other teams.
  17. The fact is though if Loria is losing money, than he's not going to invest a lot more money on the team that would just mean his losing more money.
  18. Good bullpen- Looper Urbina Bump C.Fox Tejera Spooneybarger (whenever he comes back) BAD bullpen- ALMANZA Phelps So soon people forget that Phelps saved our a** many of times when Redman, Beckett and Burnett were out.
  19. some possible free agent 2B that may or may not effect the $$$ situation Placido Polanco(rumor has it that Philly may not resign him) Roberto Alomar Luis Castillo Mark Grudzielanek Fernando Vina Adam Kennedy thats a solid class of 2B Castillo is the best out of that group though. Although Polanco is very good also.

lol, I'm a big NASCAR fan, my favorite driver is Mark Martin. I'm not going to take sides on this one. I'm not a huge fan of either, but I don't think beating the s*** out of Busch was necessary on Spencer's part. It sounds like Busch was defenseless if he was in his car. I saw that last quote by Robby Gordon and laughed he deserves it more than anyone.
  21. I've come to the realization that pudge, Lee and Castillo probably won't be back. I really think the front office should really try and keep Castillo because he is one of the best overall 2nd basemen in the league. My biggest concern is that we keep this rotation together. They better do everything they can to keep them together, can you imagine the rotation we'd have once Burnett gets back?
  22. Conan by far. The guy is histerical.
  23. Yeah I don't see any reason to bring up Nunez. If we called him up we'd probably send down Mordy, and he's a nice utility guy to have and has been playing great lately.
