I know I fell in love watching him play a few years ago for the SaraSox. Same here God that '04 Sarasota Red Sox team was sick; Matt Murton, Jon Papelbon, Hanley Ramirez, Manny Declaremen, John Lester etc. Hopefully big things are to come of Shadez I was screaming bloody murder when Murton was included in the Nomar deal. With Damon now gone, Murton would have stepped right in and Coco Crisp would still be an Indian. Lester was the guy the Rangers wanted had the Manny for A-Rod deal went through. Papelbon will take over in the rotation once Boomer Wells is traded.

Hell, you should be thanking us for Hanley Ramirez. hahaha.... yea Trust me...Hanley will be an All-Star for years to come. I figured with Nomar gone, he'd be taking over after Renteria...I saw Renteria as a stop-gap solution until Hanley was ready. Didn't think the Sox were going to give away another Adam Everett (we did...for a ex-Marlin named Everett; a playerthat makes me reach for the Maalox), but like I said, Theo must think Dustin Pedroia will ne the next Nomar. As for Anibal Sanchez, I see him in The Stadium Formerly Known As Joe Robbie by the end of the season. Handle him right and you will have a strong member of your staff for years to come...

I hope AJ wins the cy young in the AL and that the Jays win the East. If there's a former Marlin that i'd like to see win the Cy Young, it's Beckett. I certainly will be happy if that happens...glad to see two former Marlins in our rotation. Boy, Clement looks good with his goatee, doesn't he? When Dontrelle becomes a free agent...there will be a locker at Fenway for him...

People are still remembering the con job Old Baldy pulled with the Panthers Arena (since I now live across the state, I don't know what it's called this week...$wap $hop Flea Market Arena?)...you remember his saying "no new arena no team" and then even with a new arena he was still going to move...Neil Rogers was playing THAT sound bite forever. Weren't they once talking about a stadium near 95 and Sunrise Blvd?

I would tell Girardi to shove it. He should be more concerned with how they play on the field instead of how they look. Gee, have people forgotten that the 1997 and 2003 teams had players with beards. Anybody forget that Jim Leyland had a bushy mustache? What would Girardi have done if he was on the '72 As? Raised hell about his teammates becoming hairy? This what would have happened if I was a Marlin (I personally have a long ponytail and a beard). I would not shave. I would not cut. I'd let Girardi give me crap. I'd take out my checkbook and say "how much?" If he went ahead and benched/suspended me, I'd say fine and publically demand a trade, more so the better if I were a 10/5 man. After that happened, if the team I was now with played the Marlins, I'd take pre-game without a cap and ponytail out, my hair flying in front of Skinhead Joe (hey, maybe that's a reason why he's so anal-retentive). Don't worry. Girardi won't be with the Marlins for long. Afer Torre gets canned when the Yankees flop in the post-season again, Steinbrenner'll make a deal with the Marlins to get Girardi as Torre's replacement...
