  1. he was still the reason why Beckett was traded And believe me...we are NOT complaining! Wow you are such a tool. Nice sig a$$hole. You're welcome. And you're not the first person to call me that. I'm sure you've been called that as well...but I won't lower myself to do it. Reds fan, eh? I can see why you now like the Marlins. Must have something to do with Joey Pitbull's pre-1999 Reds grooming code. I would type more in this post, but you've reminded me that I have to get some Preparation H... he was still the reason why Beckett was traded And believe me...we are NOT complaining! Wow you are such a tool. Nice sig a$$hole. it had to be him agian but dont worry Felo 2008 or 2007 its gonna be Marlins and Red Sox in the world series and that is when the curse of the hanley will be born :thumbup Maybe so, but it won't be with Joey Pitbull...he'll be out of JRS by then... Imagine Beckett shutting out the Marlins in the deciding game I think it will end up being decided by Hanleys game winning singel :thumbup We shall see, we shall see...

  3. WE should try to trade for Rocco...even though Reggie has played alright as of late, but Rocco is the man. Some pitching for him and I think we might be able to get the guy. Anyone agree? To tell you the truth, I think the D-Rays would be open to that. Only because they desperately need pitching. The Rays are known for asking WAY too much though. Plus Rocco's is injury prone. Plus they signed Rocco to a long term deal last year; He's not going anywhere Trust me..Baldelli is staying put. The Rays ownership is bending over backwards to build the franchise and over here, Baldelli and Crawford and Cantu are The Big Three. Unless Friedman and Sternberg want to face a angry mob of fans, it won't happen. Under Naimoli, a trade would have been possible. Believe me, I'd LOVE to see Rocco come back to his native New England...
  4. This "zero tolerance" sh*t is going too far. A few years ago, a girl was banned from attending her graduation. Her crime? She was helping her aunt move and she had a box of silverware in her car. A butter knife had fallen out and was on the floor in the back seat area. Somebody saw the knife, reported that there was a weapon and she was escorted off school grounds and suspended. Parents appealed. The superintendant sypathized but said that was the school policy against any weapons. Said the girl should just consider this as a disappointment in life. The school even had extra security to keep her out if she dared to attend graduation.

Well, I hope you enjoy the next two years! I sure will.... I bet you'll support Hillary as well haha. Enjoying the deficit? Enjoy seeing jobs outsourced overseas and Georgie Powdernose rewarding those companies that do with tax breaks? Enjoy paying $3 a gallon? Hey that Jabba the Hutt lookalike CEO of Exxon has to get his $400 million pension somehow, right? Like having your phone tapped? Love having a President who thinks he can ignore the Constitution? It's "just a goddamned piece of paper," right? I will bet you listen to Limbaugh. Hey, both him and W are both substance abusers. Let me guess...you don't think. He does your thinking for you. And for the record, I don't support Hillary. I am hoping that Feingold or Kucinich takes a run in '08...

  7. better question. Do you see an alien face in that^ picture. While it was loading on my computer (damn dial-up), I thought it was Dick Cheney at first...

  11. I'll look for you next time there's a game on FSN
  12. Beckett will get a blister(s) and there is no way Villone would be performing well if he was wearing teal. Thanks for offering your reasoned, rational, objective, and unbiased opinion. For "right now," Boston wins hands down. It is laughable to suggest otherwise. Just look at Beckett's numbers. Lowell is actually earning his contract, which was too big for the Marlins to handle. Take off your teal sunglasses. For "down the road," the Marlins have a lot of wishful thinking if they think they will get the BETTER of this deal. There's about 5 pitchers in the league with the makeup, youth, and actual performance of Beckett. If he was on any other team besides the Marlins, he'd be an untouchable. If Lowell is able to maintain his play, which I'll admit is a big if, the BoSox would have acquired TWO all-stars for the price of a SS prospect (which isn't even the most highly regarded in their organzation), and three pitchers with "upside." Let's not forget Mota was spun-off in the Crisp deal. Do you think there was anyone in Boston that didn't want this trade to happen??? The Boston fans have been doing cartwheels since this trade, and have every right to gloat. I love Hanley. He is my favorite of the youngins. And, I like Sanchez a lot too. But, seriously, you need to stop drinking the kool-aid. Even IF Boston was told these pitchers would "pan out," Boston does this deal 10 out of 10 times. Come talk to me after the following things happen: Beckett gets his first blister Sanchez is a #2 in 2 years Hanley is a repeat All-Star and a 5th ballot HOF'amer Beckett gets another blister. Oh. one more thing...nobody cares about who won the deal sweepstakes for "right now". Its the totality of the deal that matters. About 35 years ago, there was this kid from Texas that the Mets had. Great stuff but the knock against him was that he got blisters. Mets shipped him out to the Angels and he ended up having a pretty good career. Sanchez has the potential to even be an ace. He would have been with the Sea Dogs and possibly at Fenway for a look-see at the end of the season. http://www.soxprospects.com/players/sanchez-anibal.htm Hanley? To be honest, he would have been with Pawtucket this year, but next year.... http://www.soxprospects.com/players/ramirez-hanley.htm You forgot to mention Garcia and Delgado http://www.soxprospects.com/players/garcia-harvey.htm http://www.soxprospects.com/players/delgado-jesus.htm Don't hurt yourself patting the Red Sox on the back. It is safe to say there is nobody the Red Sox would have had that would be doing what Hanley has done so far this year. You're right. Gonzalez and Cora ain't Hanley. The point I was making is that instead of handing him the SS job, the Sox would have given him some AAA experience at Pawtucket for this season. Remember, apart from last year's post 9/1 call up, he's never been above AA. With a sesaon at McCoy under his belt, Hanley would have been our SS in '07...
  13. doubt any of the mets where there since they had to fly out after the game for their next series....usually sunday's visitng players don't hand around too long Oh..it was a post-game thing. My bad

  15. Any idea if any of the Mets contributed? Would have been a class act if some did...
  16. That's who you are! I was standing close to you when Miguel was signing and taking pictures. How cool is that? lol...who are you:)? What charity is this for? Camillus House, Daily Bread Food Bank and the Florida Marlins Community Foundation Only $200? I would have contributed a lot more had I been there. Three good causes (and you think I'm just a lowly troll )

Marlin fans must be pissed that Dan Duquette wasn't still in charge up in Fenway. Knowing Danny Boy, he would have included the pitching staff of the PawSox in the deal... Believe me...I didn't like seeing Hanley dealt away. Evidently, Theo guessed that Pedroia is the SS of the future for the Sox. I'm pleased with Gonzalez, tho... 10 out of 10..heck, make it 25 out of 25
  18. he was still the reason why Beckett was traded And believe me...we are NOT complaining!
  19. Flipping Mota with Marte in a package for Crisp also makes the trade favor the BoSawx right now IMO. And had Benedict Demon not gone to the Yankees, that deal never would have been made. Everybody calls Lowell a "throw-in" I'd say leading in doubles is pretty good for a "throw-in"
  20. Big Tex, Clement, Mikey, and Seabass...(still have Mantei?) for a guy that bashes us alot you guys have a nice collection of(recently) former fish Mantei signed with the Tigers in the off-season, turned down a chance to play for Italy in the WBC. Tigers just released him from Toledo the other day. Oh, we used to have a guy named Daubach (who is still loved up there), another guy named Tavarez (Jesus) and some one named Russ Morman is now a coach in our system. Some guy named Jim Corsi came home after playing for the Marlins for a few seasons... On the other hand, we were burdened with Carl "The Clubhouse Cancer" Everett. Evidently even Lachemann didn't want him. Not a Marlins basher per se...just not a fan of anal-retentive control freaks/bullies who look like they could be cast members of The Sopranos (I just cannot get the image of "Joey Pitbull" whacking somebody out of my head). FWIW, I lived in Broward for 15 years...
  21. I was meaning when the Red Sox come to town, lets hope the Marlins beat them handidly. I assume you didn't watch FSN today and last night? Swept four from The Rays.... Maybe Beckett (beard), Clement (beard patch), Wakefield and Wells (both goatees) will give Joey Pitbull fits Lowell (goatee), Ortiz (beard), Manny (beard, dreadlocks) and Captain Varitek (goatee) should be banging them over the fences at JRS (sorry, I keep forgetting what Sieg Huizenga [as Neil Rogers calls him] is calling it this week)...
  22. Trust me. I have my sources. Willis is not being traded until a stadium deal is done somewhere, if he's traded at all. Loria loves him. The rest of this thread is a puff piece. "Willis is happy here". What's he supposed to say. He's unhappy here. The fact is he is happy here. He's young, making milions, living in Miami. If it was you would you want to be traded? Yeahhh I'd want to be on the first plane out of here. Dontrelle is the type of player that would be the hero of a city if he played in a baseball town... Chicago, Cincinnatti, New York, Boston, Philly.... those are towns that absolutley would love having the kid. He is such a unique player I think it's so sad that he's stuck here pitching in front of 3,500 for a garbage team. He's teh type of player that deserves the chance to shine in another market. You KNOW the Cubs would love to have him back. We'd love to have him in Fenway. Thing is that LHPs have a lower success rate there, but he'd most likely win more than he'd lose. Also a bit of trivia here. If Dontrelle managed to get here, he'd be playing with Julian Tavarez and Matt Clement...he and Tavarez were traded to the Marlins for Clement. Fact of life. Until July 31, the rumors will be flying. Nothing you can do but just live with them. The Rays announcers on FSN just reminded me that Lowell has 22 doubles. Thank you so very much (Looks good with the goatee that Joey Pitbull would have made him get rid of) That reminded me Hanley is batting .326 and you guys did eat alot of that contract :whistle Believe me...I cried when Hanley was given to you guys. The man is a GIFT...a GIFT, I tell you!
  23. I sure as hell wouldn't have shaved. I'd like to see Joey Pitbull have scientific proof that mustaches make you play worse
  24. i have to say red sox fan are also apart of the evil empire i am supposed to think that the red sox are any different from the yankees they prey on mlb's weak just as much as the yankees they are as much a product of money as the yankees both are successful by raping teams like the marlins . Red sox suck just like the Yankees Calling the Red Sox a part of the Yankees Evil Empire is like saying that both the Marlins and Rays suck on purpose (and for the record, I have never said that..just using a metaphor). We're raping other teams?? Look at the Twins. We gave them a pretty good OFer named Lew Ford for a former Marlin named Hector Carrasco. There's some guy in Houston named Bagwell. Pirates aren't too sad to have a kid named Freddie Sanchez at 2nd. Notice how Bronson Arroyo is doing with the Reds this year? Cub fans LOVE this kid Matt Murton. 10 min from me is The Trop. Over there, the Devil Rays got a southpaw named Casey Fossum. Yeah, I know the Rays got him from the D'Backs, but where did the D'backs get him from? The Sox in the Schilling deal. And who's that wearing #2 for the Marlins? Some kid I fell in love with who played for the SaraSox a few years ago. Hanley something-or-other...name escapes me. So before you lump the Sox in with King George's Bronx Fiefdom, remember that it was Old Baldy Wayne that tore apart the Marlins franchise after the '97 Series. *He* "raped" the Marlins. Maybe if teams like the Marlins and Pirates didn't have fire sales in the off-season and around the trade deadline, maybe they'd be contenders a hell of a lot more often. sir you have to go :plain Explain? One of the most promising young lefties in the game for a washed up closer that lost his job to a rookie and a rapidly declining 1B with like 25 at bats this season? I'll pass. Also, when the Red Sox come to town, let's beat the crap out of them, since Boston's own Michael Smith said we are worse than the Royals. I'd drive down, but since I have Facial Hair, I may not be able to get in...
