  1. Jake should be 3rd and Cabs 4th
  2. Jacobs should be batting 3rd in this line up! With or without Hanley in the lineup. Jacobs Batting #3 .321 43 165 24 53 16 0 10 23 11 26 .360 .600 .960 Batting #4 .238 63 235 29 56 14 1 7 30 20 58 .297 .396 .693 Batting #5 .268 50 183 20 49 13 0 7 33 19 47 .337 .454 .790 Cabs Batting #3 .307 317 1202 211 369 80 2 65 237 155 253 .389 .539 .928 Batting #4 .336 245 916 160 308 69 5 48 171 102 200 .403 .580 .983 These stats say it all for Jake and Cabrera for that matter. When we made our push last year Jake was in the 3 hole and Cabs was 4th. Then all of a sudden we changed them around. Although Jake has a small sample size he did well with Cabrera behind him. Cabrera is best in the 4th spot as his career stats show. He is higher in almost every category and has a large sample in each spot to back it up. Jake a very aggressive hitter will see a lot more fast balls with Cabrera behind him and that benefits him and the team. Hit Jake 3rd and see if we don?t go on a run.

  6. VNYB posted a topic in Miami Marlins
It was running at the bottom of ESPN. If already posted then delete me.
  7. "If we're putting up numbers," Jacobs countered, "what's the difference if we're striking out a lot?" Presley should be fired if this is the mentality of our players. I cannot stand the horrible approaches our hitters are taking. Ya like any of us can talk. No one on this thread can even hit a 85 MPH fastball never mind 95 plus. We all make it seem so easy. Guess what its not. No one says anything when we score 9 runs but we have a few bad games and we get all over them. Some times the pitchers are better that day and you have to tip your hat.
  8. What does a bruised thumb turn into when you keep playing? Well If you can't grip the bat that creates a problem. Jake played nearly the whole year with a bad ankle. I hope your not saying he is being a sissy. He has shown to play when not 100%. It must be bothering him when he grips the bat. A day off or two wont kill anyone.
  9. Cabrera is not in the line up.
  10. I continue to think (and I know few agree) that this may be a time to rebuild the lineup with Hanley hitting cleanup. I agree shaking things up a little can't hurt.
  11. Gonzalez SUCKS. I have never seen such poor management of a baseball team, in my life. We need a coach who knows when a pitcher is struggling and has the brains to take him out. ya our pen is so fresh!
  12. VNYB replied to shimysmals's topic in Miami Marlins
he bunted on his own, to much bitch about everything
  13. Gee, I never would expect the youngest team in the league to have these sort of problems. ? 1) Most of them aren't rookies 2) There is something called the minors, where players are supposed to be instructed and work on the fudamentals So every player that has been in the minors for a while is expected to not make "fudamental" errors? Oh OK. Is not about not making errors. Is the frequency that is happening. We only had 4 fielding errors going in to yesturdays game! I'll give you we have had too many mental errors on the bases.
