  4. anyone watching the rays game on fsn?
  5. am i late? atlanta was too wet today due to the tears falling from everyone...
  6. i'm rewatching the final braves on tbs game and just listening to skip with his whitty jokes and everything. i'm going to miss him. marlin fans may remember this game, but back in 2003 when the marlins whipped on the braves 20-1, i didn't turn the game off, but instead, listened to skip to see what kind of jokes him and joe would do next, like joe singing.
  7. the past week or so has felt like a total nightmare for braves fans and now it's gotten worse. skip caray passed away today. i'm going to miss him alot, since me and millions of braves fans across america listened to him for years. i knew his health was in decline as of late, and i remember trying to put him back on the air in 2003 with a sign and even taped his last ever national tv game at the end of last season. i think if anything, this marks the start of a new braves era.
  8. Rangers + A's - - Angels- 17 Athletics - 14 Mariners - 17 Rangers - 21 Royals - 22 Tigers - 16 Twins - 21 White Sox - 8
  9. The Braves are staring a long term rebuilding project straight in the face now. Chipper, although talented, is still injury prone and getting old, Hudson is only signed through 2009 and he might not pitch again for them, Smoltz and Glavine very well may be done, and so on. The good news for them is they have A TON of money freeing up this off season and next, so they are well equipped to rebuild if they can get some production from their farm system and be prudent on the market. bad news is our system lacks good pitching prospects. james and yoyo reyes both suck right now, and there isn't anyone top knotch on the farm right now. i think we need to get a pitching fa and rebuild our farm system.
  10. Blame Bobby Cox or blame Hudson himself, but you can't put this on the Marlins. wasn't blaming the marlins. i was stating that each of the pitchers had their last appearances against the fish.
  11. looks like the marlins love to end braves pitching careers. they almost ended glavine's last year, smoltz's earlier this year, and now we're without hudson for at least a year. huddy is having ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery and is probably done until 2010 (unless he pulls a jj and comes back 11 months later).
  12. rain alert....
  13. sorry i'm late to the thread, but i'm just in time to say to the mets...you stink.
  14. current avatar (actually just ended a couple weeks ago) heroes finished/cancelled jericho (first season, second season was meh) journeyman fresh prince of bel-air
  15. rangers + a's - - Angels- 19 Athletics - 21 Blue Jays - 10 Mariners - 18 Rangers - 19 Royals - 17 Tigers - 19 Twins - 19 White Sox - 13
  16. i think the angels just sealed their world series right there. if only espn started showing more angels games instead of their northeast bloated selves...
  17. evan just said it...he said that hutton's comments could come off as obnoxious if you didn't know him.
  18. evan's comments on tommy: he says it's not really fair to call the mets, the road team, front running when they show up all the time. that, and the marlins have a front running fanbase along with the rest of south florida (minus the fish).
  19. mets are just bitter that the fish demolished their playoff hopes last year... and apparently the jab that Hutton gave the mets fans worked... it got their lame asses upset (like Sid) so let them whine... they just keep proving tommy right the more they bitch and moan about one little comment GO FISH evan is about to talk about tommy's comments on espn 760 after the break. and he said the marlins have an anti-met mentality and love beating them up and he's scared of the marlins as a met fan.
  20. Sid speaks out of the both sides of his mouth. He TRIES to be unbiased, but his biases always seep through in to his work. Unfortunately, he is the one sports announcer that truly covers ALOT of baseball in this town. Unfortunately for us, he is a New Yorker. Most other sports announcers in this town solely focus on Football, so Sid is the only guy to turn to to listen to extended baseball talk. Hopefully, someone will eventually emerge LOCALLY to cover baseball as much as Sid RosenFART does. there's also evan cohen on 760, he talks baseball, but he's also a filthy met fan who gets annoying (similar to sid, but younger). mike g talks lots of baseball on saturday mornings on the same station. evan isn't on until 4, so i'll see if he yaps about hutton's comments.
  21. The Braves are done. (IMO) seconded. we could have just sealed 2009's fate as well... :banghead
