  1. 6/30/05- i thought that game was never going to start. i remember that there was these anti-andruw people there, jeering him all game, and estrada getting tossed and getting my first looks at brian mccann. we lost the game.
  2. is it going to be a doubleheader tomorrow? and if so, will either game be on tv? Who knows but the radio guys said that this game WILL be played no matter what. as in tonight? if i were the marlins, i would start thinking about a dh tomorrow, because this game won't get started until 10 pm at least, and the game is likely going to last until the wee hours of the morning.

  4. and i've been secretly rooting for you guys (your team is so easy to love). :o... she is crossing over. :wee sorry, my loyalty still belongs to the braves, but you are a good team to watch. young players and likable players. if it comes down to playoff time between us and the marlins, trust me, i won't be rooting for the marlins. uggla i would say is my favorite player on the team. don't let this leak out, if they find out i like watching marlin games, they'll kick me out.
  5. i heard that his name was barry zero...what happened to him? he went down the drain since making the trip across the bridge. btw, good luck tonight. don't worry, i've been watching, and i've been secretly rooting for you guys (your team is so easy to love).

saw the play too. part of me says that's what church gets for trying to hurt escobar (he hit him earlier in the game), but i hope he gets better soon so we can put him on our public enemy list for being a dirty player. i think the mets are resorting to beating our players up because they can't beat us otherwise. i'm a bit concerned about escobar though, i'm hoping there isn't any kind of lingering damage from that dirty hit from church, but i'm thinking he sits out until the weekend.
  7. maddux is going for his 350th win for the fourth time today.
  8. i personally hope willie isn't fired, because that could mean the mets get a much better manger that wins the world series...we've seen it before. i would rather have willie there as long as possible, just stay as long as possible to underachieve instead of flat out fail.
  9. Admin is 3-3. and james is up to his old tricks, walks and homers.
  10. And next time Diaz is up, knock him on his butt. What did he do? interference. it was a dumb move for diaz to do.
  11. this braves team is one of the most bipolar teams i've seen in a long time. and, you can argue that the losing pitcher of the game is headed to the minors. chuck james in on a short leash, especially with glavine coming back and as seen tonight, bandenhop is kinda...bad.
  12. furcalchick came out when his are winnnng . what happen to you last night????????? we kicking ass i'm a girl, and yeah, last night was frustrating at least for our sides. you guys were just on and we couldn't get a break. 12 lob is inexcusable.
  13. before i forget...happy birthday chipper!!! :happybday to 36 years of chipper jones.
  14. I think it's on an alternate channel for today as well. Channel 665 on DirecTV tonight it seems. thank you thank you thank you!!! i was starting to panic and suffer from braves withdrawal when i couldn't find the game. but i thought it was odd that they put it all that way down to 665 instead of the usual 635. and teixeria tied it up.
  15. most of you probably remember when joe girardi banned facial hair for the marlins and a bunch of people were less than happy with that. now, he's banning his yankees players from eating candy and gum. This is a photograph of an ice cream freezer outside the visitors clubhouse at Camden Yards wrapped up in a blanket so nobody will steal the treats inside. Why is it outside the visitors clubhouse? Because Joe Girardi wants it that way. The Yankees contacted the visiting clubhouse manager of every stadium where they play and asked that the candy and ice cream be removed before the team comes to town. All clubhouses have an assortment of candy, gum, sunflower seeds, ice cream and other goodies. Personally, it never has made sense to me. Why would you provide professional athletes with junk food? The players, of course, aren’t too pleased. They’re used to M&Ms and Snickers bars. The clubhouse in Tampa Bay replaced all the candy with nuts, dried fruit and granola. It was hilarious to watch as guys smuggled in candy bars and ate them furtively at their lockers. http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2008/04/19/eat-...hy-play-better/
  16. smoltzie's shoulder is acting up, just a heads up. the way you guys are playing combined with our awful play should score you guys an easy win tonight.
  17. jair is nothing to shake a stick at. he's got some hot stuff. but the braves offense looks lifeless as usual. Ah, look who's here. I almost forgot. Did they let you back into the Braves forum or something, because you've been gone. i've been busy. kotsay is wearing #42 for us.

  19. don't expect schafer to be a brave for much longer. bobby and the braves are really stiff against drug cheats. makes us look at mark kotsay at another way now, because alot of people said it was a big mistake to not have schafer on the team before the season. i'm really shocked that he would use hgh (he didn't look like a user to me when i saw him).
  20. i don't know if i would panic, but i would be concerned, especially after being considered the al favorite that the team has yet to win a game through one week of play and just finished getting beat down by the white sox 13-2. yeah, it's one week, but i would think something needs to start fast, like a win, otherwise, this team could be in a huge hole early.
  21. i'm just about done with hampton. to make a long story short, we've been waiting for years for hampton to come back and pitch for us, and have dealt with injury after injury with him, that we were unsure if he was ever pitching again. well, he has a great st, and thinking he's decent. minutes before he's supposed to go on, he strains his left pectoral muscle and he can't pitch, we and now he's headed to the dl again. he's like pedro, made of glass and 100% finished. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=txbr...t&type=lgns
  22. it sure blew up on us big time, but that was crazy, putting him in left field for one batter and then getting someone else back in. not against the rules, but very odd (i always thought when you are done pitching, that's it for the day).
  23. New York and Boston are historically big baseball towns in terms of ratings and the three teams there carry a lot of fans all over the country. The Dodgers are very close to being in that range as well -- but honestly how many Rockies or Reds or Brewers or Indians or *snort* Rays fans are there outside their respective states? Pretty much none. I guess it's one of those which came first deals, ESPN shoving them down everyone's throats or the teams drawing huge ratings? IMO it's the latter. i think it's a bit of both. the northeast does have the biggest passion for baseball, but i think espn only added more fuel to the fire by hyping them up en masse starting around 2003 (that's when i started noticing it being yankees-red sox show). i doubt the northeast bias would be as bad as it is now if espn didn't cram them down our throats all the time. if espn et al. went outside of their northeeast bubble once in a while, they would come and see the greatest rivalry in baseball: dodgers vs. giants, as well as some other baseball gems that go unnoticed.
  24. yankees suck? i thought this was a marlins game...
  25. come on dan uggla, beat the muts!
