sorry hank, i love the nl rules and pitchers hitting. pitchers are not meant to be wussified, i guess he doesn't see the likes of micah owings and some other good hitting pitchers. for some reason, al baseball bores me to bits (likely due to lack of strategy). plus, this is not football, if you want to bat, you have to play the field.

This is f***ing bulls*** -- not the firing it needed to happen, but the manner in which it was done. Second rate bulls***. And even better, all kinds of horror stories are coming out -- for example the Front Office had a player evaluation meeting with Willie where he made honest evaluations on some players, someone in FO leaks Willie's comments to the players. I can't handle this crap anymore. the way they got rid of him was stupid and makes me wonder the iq of the mets sometimes.

this entire team has bad luck. at least he's not going to be out long for this one (and probably was a good chance to rest his quad, which is a problem). at least we won a game finally without him (probably the friday the 13th stuff).

i'm sure most of you saw monday when the marlins came back with 2 runs off john smoltz in the ninth for his first blown save against the marlins. many braves fans saw that he was in pain the entire inning and the shoulder was still hurting him, despite the new arm angle and everything. looks like you saw the last of smoltz this year pitching and possibly the end of his career, since he's getting shoulder surgery today. Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz says he will have season-ending shoulder surgery, but hopes to return in 2009. The Braves called a news conference before Thursday's game against the Florida Marlins to discuss Smoltz's ailing shoulder. here's some stats on the braves: we're 0-20 in one run games on the road we're 22-7 at home and 7-21 on the road chipper jones' average is now at .405 after an abysmal series in cincy joe reyes (i refuse to call him that other name that makes him sound like a certain pop singer) had a good enough start for a ONE RUN LOSS, with 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, but he stunk two starts ago, giving up 8 runs in 5 innings. so he's kinda iffy here. i expect a high scoring game today. good luck.
