I remember hearing Tommy and Rich talking about an amazing catch amezaga made in mexico I believe? I wanted to know if they finally showed it?

I just tried the youtube link the video was on before and I got

The mexican league is run by MLB?

MLB = Mexican League Baseball? lol

I found a horrible video that only shows his toss at the the 2nd baseman for the force out you don't really see the catch... but it will give you an idea at least

He gave a copy of it to the Marlins so they could show it on a broadcast. With my luck they will show it during a home game and I won't see it.

Hey!! Wait a minute!! Marlin Fan Base Excuse #45,001... "I don't go to games so I won't miss the Amezega Mexican League play on TV." I finally got an original excuse!!!

I feel so bad you don't like to be reminded of how great our fan base is. How will I ever sleep now??

We don't need to be reminded... you act as if someone is gonna act like this:

Joe MB.com User - Oh man... BroncoBob made fun of me by saying that I won't go to games because I'll miss that Amezaga catch... Well... it's a long drive from Port Saint Lucie... and gas prices are intense, but I'll just skip paying my student loan this month because I cannot stand for Bob making fun of me! *TIVOs the Marlins game so I don't miss the Amezaga catch*

I bow to the patron saint of Marlins attendance that is BroncoBob :notworthy

Real fans don't call out their fellow fans like you do, most of, if not all, the fans on this board ARE the ones that go to games and risk weather, or save up to go. You have a problem? Go door-to-door in Miami/Broward and sell your sob stories there... don't sit here and put yourself on a pedestal amongst the real Marlins fans

I see. I'm not a real fan. I should enjoy going to the ball park and continuously being out numbered by the opposing teams fans. Especially within a 50 mile radius of the stadium there are about 2.5 mil people living, if not more. That we are always near the bottom of the attendance category. That we can't pull 20K when the two best teams in MLB are playing each other. When we can't pull 15K when a historic event like Jr's was about to happen. But wait!!! We have great TV ratings!!! WHOO-HOOO. One would have to wonder what those attendance numbers would look like if they only counted those that cheered for the Marlins. How many times have you watched games on TV when the opposing fans are able to be louder than the home fans because there are more of them?? Besides the Marlins games.

I would have said you had a good reason not to attend many games living in PSL. But by defending the ones that live near and don't go you automatically put yourself in their category. Congratulations. You are a true Marlins fan. You don't go to the games and yet bash anyone that complains about the poor attendance figures year after year.

Hey Bronco, I'm sure you if you make just a few more jokes and complaints about the fans they'll start going to games in droves. Just like how the gas prices have gone down with everyone complaining about them.

That statement is so ridiculously ignorant really, I'm floored... suddenly my reason for not going to 20 games a year is negated?

I defended people that your ignorant blanket statements cover. People like Phxphin, Bobbob, Holly, myself... etc. I don't bash people that complain about poor attendance figures, I call out people that bash their peers. 2.5 Million people in the 50 mile radius and this site has a memberlist of roughly 5000 people... and an easy majority of them rarely/never/don't post here anymore. The remainder DO go to games as often as they can. But it's effective to call people out here... that'll get 'em there, not a winning record, not Griffey, but you bashing them.

Oh... and word for the wise... NEVER question my fandom, I've sat through this team from day one, no different than you have, I was there opening day in 97, 99, 2003 and easily 40 games sprinkled between there. Moved in 2004, so I have gone to a grand total of 3 games since then, especially hard when I was in Tampa with no method of transportation for almost a year.

Just for personal "lol" factor...

Your complaint is seeded in the 2.5 million the Marlins have to draw from... let's pretend that all 5000 members on the MB.com memberlist were routine active for this hypothetical... you're complaining about this to/about 5000/2,500,000.... that's 1/500... 0.002% of the net "should-be" fanbase... bring that 5000 estimate down to where it should be, and you'll see that calling out MB.com members is statistically laughable in and of itself.

Then consider what I said about most of the mb.com members being the ones that DO go to games... heck, Admin flies in from New York to catch games. So... when all is said and done... you're calling out LESS THAN .0002% of the "should-be" fan base.

Just :lol

I live in Miami-Dade County and have always attended games. I've had a season ticket package for years and, God willing, will keep it for the rest of my life. I have to agree with PitchingWinsGames that your continuous reminders here are both irritating and uncalled for.

For the most part, the people on this board are die-hard fans and that includes the many who do not post or who stopped posting. Many of us go to the games and wish there were more of us in the stands just like you do.

We don't need the reminders, they are everywhere. We especially don't need them when we come here to be among fellow fans.

There cannot possibly be a single person who reads this board who is not already keenly aware of how many games you attend and how far you drive to do so.

Kudos to you, you are a good fan and I do not dispute that. However, you do not seem so quick to point out that while you may have a disadvantage in distance there are other advantages you may benefit from that others do not. Having your own business and the time flexibility that comes with it (not to mention a tax write-off), you can afford a full season ticket package, perhaps you don't currently have family obligations that others may have, you have a spouse who enjoys going as much as you do, no transportation issues as opposed to some here who may have to depend on rides, etc, etc. I'm not saying all of the above are the case, just possibilities.

I don't know what your and everyone else's personal situations are so I do not take it upon myself to judge everyone here who does not attend as many games as I do. I wish you would realize that no Marlins fan enjoys being outnumbered by the other team's fans nor do the rest of us relish seeing a mostly empty stadium. Those feelings are not exclusive to you and, therefore, the rubbing of the salt on the wound does not belong here.

That's just my opinion and you, of course, have every right to continue doing what you do.

Hey Bronco, I'm sure you if you make just a few more jokes and complaints about the fans they'll start going to games in droves. Just like how the gas prices have gone down with everyone complaining about them.

And I'm sure if everyone just ignores that we don't go to the games everyone will start going. Ignore it and it will go away never did work for anything.

I call out those that don't go to the games that live near by. Not once, ever, have I said anything about folks that live a long ways away or have financial difficulties that don't enable them to attend. You want to defend those folks?? Fine. Stick your fingers in your ears, holler out lalalala, ignore our attendance records and the problem will go away. That's worked great so far. But you want to continue with the name calling because I have no sympathy or respect for those that live within a 50 mile radius and continually repeat all the lame excuses of why, then this conversation is over.

Hey!! Wait a minute!! Marlin Fan Base Excuse #45,001... "I don't go to games so I won't miss the Amezega Mexican League play on TV." I finally got an original excuse!!!

It's just a bad joke.

where's that amezega video anyhow?
