April 7, 200818 yr i don't know if i would panic, but i would be concerned, especially after being considered the al favorite that the team has yet to win a game through one week of play and just finished getting beat down by the white sox 13-2. yeah, it's one week, but i would think something needs to start fast, like a win, otherwise, this team could be in a huge hole early.
April 7, 200818 yr they're just not that good. Their lineup will get better, but fact is after Verlander they have nothing stellar in the rotation, and all you have to do with them is stay in the game b/c they might just have the WORST bullpen in baseball.
April 7, 200818 yr Rogers can still pich and Bonderman only did bad last year because of his injury. Before the injury he was like 10-1 with a 3 something era. Unfortunatly, the bull pen will be a big issue and it sucks cause Verlander is on my Fantasy Team. How the hell do you get wins with that shaky mess?
April 7, 200818 yr I think their rotation is pretty solid. Their lineup was suppose to be explosive at least on paper deffinately. They just been hit hard by the injury bug, reflects on their bullpen also. If they can play decent ball and get everyone back healthy then they have a chance to go on a nice run. It's early so they do have that working for them.
April 7, 200818 yr Great offensive team, a so-so rotation that will be fine with a little run support and a very ugly bullpen situation. Seems like they picked up quite a few guys that never panned out hoping they could fill middle relief and set up roles like Francis Beltran, Denny Bautista, etc. They'll get going but offense alone wont win you a division.
April 8, 200818 yr Pfft... I remember saying that I was scared for the AL Central because of the Tigers line up but nevermind. What is going on with them? :o This is not what their season is suppose to be.
April 9, 200818 yr Lets all remember that they have only played 4% of their season. Yes 0-7 is terrible, but there is still a LONG way to go. I remember several times the past few years where fans counted out the yankees and braves in mid May, only to be completely wrong come september. 2006 marlins ring a bell? They were 20 games under and battled back to take the wild card lead in early september.

For the Tigers, that would be a failure.
April 9, 200818 yr They'll probably turn it around, especially if by mid season Granderson comes back. That offense is too good to be slowed down by a bad pen

April 10, 200818 yr No team that has every started 0-7 has made the post season... but this one could be it.
April 10, 200818 yr No team that has every started 0-7 has made the post season... but this one could be it. true.. but than again no team with this much talent has ever had such a bad start.
