Probably even more importantly this can take the place of Grandersons 71 and RamireZs 91 wRC+ from the LF position last season. Dickersons number itself is very solid. But the incremental improvement over last year is very stark

Since leaving colorado he’s posted the following wRC+ numbers: 101, 116, 115, 127. Nice progression (granted last year was a half season). Good move.

The black on black was an issue on the field but not on merchandise. The fact they’re rolling this out makes me wonder if the alternates will have an outline this year. For me that’s not the solution. Either change thebackground color or the main color in the font

Another point to consider. You can’t make people want to sign with the marlins. They’ve got some proving to do to make themselves desirable and credible to free agents. Yes I know money talks and the easy comeback is that players always take more money. While they may be true in many instances, sometimes they do take less if they really want a certain team (MadBum). The desirable names with multiple teams asking are probably going to be out of reach. It doesn’t have to always be that way but it might have to be in the near term.

I do this a lot. If you are streaming audio through mlb.tv and watching through a fox sports go stream they’re both delayed and you can pause the tv to match the audio and video. If you’re watching another team you can do the same but all through mlb tv. It’s really the way to go.

Kemp is finished as a major leaguer. I don’t know what their rationale is for bringing him on but he is not going to be a productive player for an MLB team anymore

There’s something about radio broadcasts that are superior to TV. The delivery is less hyperactive. You don’t have the generic FOX music going to and from commercial (which is the same for all fox regional stations). The sound mixing is more pleasing. It’s a better experience all round.

Honest question: what type of Issues? Anything that would hurt the Marlins. Someone referenced the fight he was in the night he was traded. Puig had no part in starting that fight. He was in there defending his teammates (actually ex-teammates) and telling others to do the same. Whatever intrasquad issues he may have had in LA didn’t happen last season on his new teams. But like you said Mattingly would have to agree to it.

While it’s very cool to think that the team is going to be buying this winter it’s concerning that the team is also leaving Mike Hills comfort zone. The early days of the reboot had tasks that I think he could handle (trading away assets). Now the task is signing free agents and this is where so many mistakes have been made in the past. It is hard to get past that and the thought of Mike Hill now going out to do those deals again...well that doesn’t feel great
