This game is a true representation of what the Marlins are without G, Bour and Dietrich and with Dee playing like shit, add to that the typical RISP woes. It's a shame because the pitching has actually stepped up.

Two of Prado, Yelich and Ozuna have to have productive nights for this team to have a chance to win. No one else can be relied upon in the lineup to produce runs. Ozuna is virtually single handedly responsible for this shutout.

Cashner was terrific for a change. But you just knew he was destined to lose 1-0. KC will take advantage of RISP situations, the Marlins notoriously do not. Hope to see this Cashner again. Don't see our pitching as being a problem at this point. Unless we get the kind of help that the Pirates gave us on the field , we should get used to these kind of losses. Our lineup is punchless.

Kansas City pitching to this lineup was child's play.

Yelich has to know if he doesn't hit team has no chance. A lot of pressure on him and it's showing.

Matchups with KC are terrible. Just avoid getting swept and then sweep the Padres.

Koehler and Phelps have given the team a chance to win. The other starters usually haven't. Urena very likely won't. If Mattingly intends to give the team a chance to win he better be ready for an early intervention.

Well I just said it. It would be great to be proven wrong but the warts on this team are showing big time despite tonight's heroics.
