8/19 Postgame
Nice win for a change. We are out of the wild card race, Cards took advantage of our fuckery and they're not coming back to us.

Way to step up Jose!

Marlins @ Reds, Jose Day August 18, 2016
Jose pitches more like Cashner on the road. Full fledged mediocrity. He just hasn't proved himself on the road. Also not a big game pitcher, Let him pitch all his remaining innings in Miami.

marvins vs rids 8-17
Somnolent offense without G and Bour. Just too difficult for team to score runs. Singles hitting team that can't string enough of them togetherYelich feeling the pressure with struck out flurry. Injuries have derailed us,

Wake me up when it's over. Team in deep snooze.

8-12 White Sox vs Fish
Dead bats and stupid at bats. Stating pitching may often disappoint but it's the lack of run production that will sink this team.

Cashner sets the stage for Narveson. This game should not be left in doubt.

A-Rod to the marlins?!
What thoughts? AROD was hitting 200 when he was let go. He's finished.

8/10 Postgame
We complain a lot around here about not getting enough SP's to go 7 innings and bullpen collapses but the real reason this team will likely sink is we just can't score enough runs. Power numbers suck and RISP numbers blah at best. Ozuna needs to wake up, we need Bour back desperately and Stanton needs to be more than a 240 AVG power hitter with too many all or nothing at bats. JT and DD should have more RBI's. Base running blunders need to end. Kudos go out to Yelich and Prado for keeping us in it but more of our lineup needs to step it up.

8/10 - Big Men at Fish
With bats missing in the lineup and DD being brilliantly removed If Yelich doesn't hit was risking a shutout.

8/10 - Big Men at Fish
The CJ for DD substitution is again infuriating. The loss of Bour's bat has really hurt this team.

8/8 Post game
Stanton and Ozuna AB's were just awful to watch. Swinging at sliders away trying to end the game. It was plain as day that if Yelich couldn't get the big hit the Marlins had no shot. The bullpen has carried a hugh burden this year in sustaining our W-L record . Feels like the beginning of the end if they are indeed cracking.

8/8 - Giants at Marlins - 7 PM
High ankle sprains are brutal. Not surprised its taking Bour as long as it is to come back. I would not have pitched to Crawford. Would rather have taken my chances bags loaded and pitched to the righty Pence. Bullpen breakdown will be lights out for this team if not turned around quick. SP's not good enough. The Mike Hill trades are not looking good.

8/8 - Giants at Marlins - 7 PM
Marlins have had a number of killer losses. This may be the worst. Much rather have pitched to Pence with bags full.

Stanton and Ozuns look absolutely awful

8/7 - Marlins at Rockies - 4 PM
We are going to lose.

2016 Trade Deadline Thread
The only thing on Hill's wizard of a mind was the next 3 months and no one traded was going to help the team over that period. Didn't really care who he had to give up.

2016 Trade Deadline Thread
Type of trade you would expect Mike Hill to make. Naylor was jettisoned as we all knew would happen. Time to sign Bour to under market 7 yr deal. Hope Cashner seizes opportunity but as a 3 month rental, meh. In Shanghai saw Marlins on the tube this morning. Time to head to the Bund and celebrate this magnificent trade.

Looking to add on...
I'd be okay with Santana, he's serviceable and signed for 2 years, and also pitching better lately. We don't have the goods to get anyone better, thanks to Mike Hill and staff and a barren farm system they expertly put together. But we all know that, so lets move on and hope they sign Garrett and don't again go brain dead by trying to give away Naylor for Santana, who is probably going to Texas anyway.

7-10 postgame
Looking at the wild card race, all the teams you thought at the beginning of the season would be in it are in it, except for the DBacks. Five teams battling for two spots. Glad the Marlins are right in the middle of it. Boy do we need another starting pitcher.

7-9 postgame
May be look at it this way, we've got a lot of guys who are having good years playing to their potential, but we're only on the verge of 47-41 at the break because of the negatives in below average slugging, RISP performance, and the performance of our 3-5 starting pitching. Straighten that out, and we're contending for 1st in the division.
