Lost the series, that blown game on Monday hurts even more now.

That's why I take every game so seriously because you never know what will happen the next game.

Terrible series overall and hard to believe they are again approaching 20 innings without a run.

Dodgers are really pulling away with the first wild card spot.

I guess the good news is that the Cardinals haven't taken advantage of their soft schedule and they now have a 4-game series at Wrigley this weekend.

We need to start getting healthy again.

I also love what Realmuto has done this year but he really needs to start driving in more runs. 5 home runs and 31 RBI in mid August for a full time catcher hitting .310? Come on.

Really feels like this team is slipping. Too iffy since the break. We've had plenty of chances to gain some ground and are just treading water. Its like we haven't lost any ground but we haven't gained any either. The season is running down, can't keep running in place.

Also, health is finally starting to become an issue and we've all known since spring training that without health we're screwed.

Cardinal, and mets fans are saying the same. We are just trying to stay afloat until Bour comes back

I think we should give Realmuto some starts at 1B at least until Bour comes back. And start JT at 1B against lefties. Pitching staff seems to do better when Mathis catches. Not joking here.

Completely agree. Mathis has done a phenomenal job behind the plate calling a game

Hopefully Bour comes back soon and the Stanton thing doesn't seem serious. We can probably survive without Ramos despite Monday's meltdown.

If the cardinals Mets and Marlins are treading water today, eventually it's gonna be the team that pushes forward that gets to the finish line. If we don't get on it those two teams will overtake us even though today we're in a wild card spot.

Yeah, better than playing Chris Johnson IMO.

Not to mention, DD baserunning blunder today.

I'd like to keep both wild card spots as options but if the Dodgers win today they are 5 ahead.

I'm surprised that the Dodgers have continued to play as well they've played. I think both the Marlins & Cardinals are more talented.

We have played .500 ball since the All Star Game but at least our main rivals have stuttered as well. We really could do with Bour returning.

I know we're in August, but we still have another 50 games to go. Long season ahead of us

As long as we're within a few games of the wildcard the final two weeks of the season, i'll be content, b/c lets face it, the Marlins aren't going to run away with this thing. It'll be close to the wire.

And either way, we have to play that stupid one game playoff, so just gotta find a way to sneak in to that 5th seed.

Yeah they've had injuries and lot of older guys getting it done.
