  1. Ricky has been making some good pitches.
  2. Walk Ramos in front of the Pitcher...genius!
  3. It's really cool seeing Pierre in a Marlins uniform again.
  4. Something about Opening Day has turned my pessimism for the season into hope. Slay the Nats!
  5. Any new merchandise will have an initial spike in sales. People like purchasing what's 'current'. That is the difference between style and fashion. Style is timeless, fashion is here today and gone tomorrow. I suffered the same thing when LSU (my alma mater) changed their logo in the early 2000's from the classic old school tiger head to the 'new and improved cartoon tiger' that has all of the ferocity of a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. Everyone I know hates this logo, but the school keeps saying sales are at an alltime high...well so is LSU's football success and national brand (coincidence? i think not). I, along with most people I know, refuse to purchase merchandise with the new LSU logo. In fact, a local shop is making a killing by being the only place in town where you can buy LSU stuff with the old logos. I know you guys could care less about LSU, just wanted to add some perspecitve. As time goes on, Miami will have one of the lowest merchandise sales in the league...unless they start winning.
  6. Agreed. I liked when it had the teal outline along with the silver as well.
  7. The state of the Franchise is quite sad. Tey could not have failed worse with this rebrand. Loria has made poor decisions at every turn. I hate the new logo. I hate the colors. I hate the uniforms. I hate the home run structure and honestly don't care too much for the new ballpark as a whole (granted I've only ever seen it on tv). I hate the front office. I hate the owner. I hate that we continually trade proven talent for unproven. However...I LOVE this team and always will. Just don't expect me to buy any new merchandise.
  8. I can't even defend myself anymore to all the people who rag me for being a Marlins fan. Loria has ruined my favorite team. Awful colors, awful logo, awful uniforms, awful homerun sculpture and now an awful team. If Loria was standing in front of me right now, I would seriously skull-drag him.
  9. While we are cleaning house, can we please get rid of the current uniforms and color scheme as well. I have yet to get used to them and sort of feel like I've been rooting for a new team (one that is hideous in sartorial dress and play on the field). Bring back the black and teal!
  10. It is a shame we didn't do this right after the 'kicked ball' incident when Hanley still had other GMs salivating over his bat at SS.
  11. Im so glad we changed our image and disregarded the past. This is MUCH better!
  12. Why do I even bother.
  13. Hayes is jacking around this inning. He didnt even try for the pop up on pitch one. Maybe cause there was a f***ing net in his way? This could prove difficult, yes.
  14. Well if this were Miami, the runner would never leave 3rd.
  15. Hayes is jacking around this inning. He didnt even try for the pop up on pitch one.
  16. Damn, great play by Infante.
  17. Hanley is useless anymore.
  18. Such an empty postgame thread...
  19. Gaby's struggles sadden me. I thought he was progressing into a Will Clark style first baseman after his first 1.5 years in the league. However, it does seem he is regressing. He had 'professional hitter' written all over him early on, but after awhile you have to stop hoping for the past and realize what the present is. I was against signing Pujols because I believed in Gaby. My faith is fading...
  20. JJ is the most unlucky dominant athlete in baseball over the past few years.
