If we don't get Pujols, I'm not for going after Prince. Pujols is a historical icon and so I could agree with spending $20+ million a year on him and getting rid of Gaby. I can't say I would agree with doing the same thing for Prince. Gaby is more than good enough at 1st base and Prince is not $20mil more per year better than Gaby. Prince won't bring the fans, interest, peripherals like Pujols would.

Gosh, Kevin Millar is awful on MLBN Hot Stove. He's the Charles Barkley of MLB analysts. Except Charles Barkley is funny and endearing. Millar is like that drunk uncle who says innapropriate things and always wants you to pull his finger.

I'm so conflicted! I honestly believe we would be a better team spending Pujol's money on starting pitching and centerfield. I think Gaby is a quality player, in fact, he may be my favorite Marlin (especially considering his forearm-to-face talents). However, having the best player of my generation play and retire with my favorite team...gosh, that's hard not to root for.

Looking at him, I gotta say that the black hat doesn't look good with the white jersey. I think the orange hat would be better.

You could have chosen your words far better; they were rather melodramatic, and frankly, rude. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but there are approximately an infinite number of better ways to express it. I'll buy that for a dollar. I don't want this to come off wrong...I appreciate this site for allowing me to follow the Marlins as if they were my hometown team, when in fact, they are not. It is my only way to share thoughts/ideas with fellow Marlins fans, as I don't know a single person who lives near me that is. However... Does anyone else feel like the new logo for the site is god-awful? The orange baseball diamond is nauseating.

Looks like the new trend in baseball is to have insanely large logos on the front bill of all caps. ...and I agree, this would look much better without the stupid Jay head below the lettering.

I would still like to sign him, but I believe 5 years/5 mil per would be more reasonable. Too many question marks. Even though we are increasing payroll, there is no reason to gamble with that money.

Hate to say it but the new look is starting to grow on me. I don't hate it anymore. The size of the logo on the cap still needs to be dialed down, but all in all, it's OK.
