What site is that?

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
To be honest Zac Gallen seems a safe bet to log a lot of innings like a Buehrle type.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
Prime would be amazing. I think it's sort of odd that after both these trades that I don't think we gained 1 consensus top 100 guy.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
From the reports, I've read this seems like the best case scenario. Alcantara=Yordano Ventura Sierra= Juan Pierre

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
His swing is long and his K Rate is concerning. I'm just going off MLB Pipeline (which isn't the best but just using as a reference point.) Sierra is not, he's a ways a way as is Perez.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
I like Reyes and Kelly. Obviously they won't be involved but Flaherty (who I want) I think will be a solid mid rotation guy. Tyler O'Neill has lost a lot of luster. I think Bader is a safe play but not going to be an all star. Sierra will has some nice tools but has to reach that potential. Perez has some stud potential but last year he didn't get to play the whole season.

Ah, did not know that. I'm not to impressed with what they have as far as "star" quality. They have solid pieces but nobody I would consider stud worthy.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
I'm referring to the Cardinals system. I'm not to aware of what we have to be honest.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
There's no much else in that system. SSS but his BB to K rate was a solid start.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
True. But I' hoping maybe those in the industry have Alcantara rated higher? I'm just spit balling and hoping.

Marcell Ozuna Traded to the Cardinals
I'm hoping Flaherty somehow gets into the deal other wise, Bader, Sierra, and Perez would make it a little more interesting but I'm predicting Dakota Hudson.

I agree with this. If you shed those contracts and get some solid pitching you can compete. This is more than likely the last year the Nationals have a huge strangle hold on the division as well.

Javier Vazquez to Yankees
It hurts the Braves now, because I believe the rotation they had going into this year with Javier gave them a chance at winning the division- though I had them winning the WC. With that being said Melky doesn't scare me one bit and this is a deal that I think helps the Marlins like some have said. Only sad part is the prospect that the Braves got was Ardoys Vizcaino who is a pretty damn good prospect- but that's in about 4 years.

Matt Lindstrom traded to Astros
Bono walked only 19 in 143.1 IP, thats the stat that I like the most. Exactly. I think we got a pretty decent return for Lindstrom, let's be honest we got a pretty decent return for a middle reliever who can only throw the heat who has control problems. He's basically Kyle Farnsworth. Bono only walked 19 in 143.1 IP, that's nice. Bryan looked decent for his age but it wasn't A ball so it's rough to say what he can be, he has nice size though and hit for a high average. I'll take the "risk" on these two, knowing what I would get out of Lindstrom.

Matt Lindstrom traded to Astros
Bring up Tucker or Sinkbeil to take his spot. Seaton please, I can dream for Lyles though right?

Signing: Chone Figgins to Seattle
Mariners signed 3B Chone Figgins to a four-year, $36 million contract with a $9 million option for 2014. It took close to four days for this one to become final, but the Mariners officially announced it at the Winter Meetings on Tuesday. Figgins, 31, will bring excellent defense to Seattle along with a knack for getting on base. He hit .298/.395/.393 this past season with five home runs 30 doubles, 54 RBI, 42 stolen bases and 114 runs scored in 615 at-bats. Rotoworld.com

3 way trade
I wouldn't yet say Verlander-Porcello-Scherzer is "insane". It has the potential to be very good but at this point in time 2 and 3 are still young and developing. Haha, sorry. I follow minor league baseball a lot so I always like the deals involving younger players. 2 and 3 though both have ace potential and to add to that Verlander. I'll rephrase it to say that has the potential to be insane.

Rangers submitted offer for J.J.
If this trade happened: C: Kyle Skipworth 1B: Justin Smoak 2B: Chris Coghlan SS: Hanley Ramirez 3B: Matt Dominguez LF: Logan Morrison CF: Cameron Maybin RF: Michael Stanton That is a loaded team with potential. But JJ is right now a "sure thing" Smoak and Feliz are not but man, what a trade if both those players pan out. Does it really matter? I mean seriously, they'll trade a young proven player for two prospects that may or may not pan out. Then as soon as any of these players start to get moderately expensive, they trade them. That roster could look good, but as soon as Maybin starts hitting he'll be out the door. In three years Coghlan will be traded for two younger, cheaper players. If anything, (assuming this is true about this rumor and the Marlins declining) this should lead you to believe otherwise. Josh Johnson better be signed long-term. If the Marlins truly rejected this, they must believe they'll be able to sign him. Personally, I would've accepted. I highly doubt we get a better offer than this. Exactly. Feliz and Smoak are easily the best package that could be put together regarding prospects. If the Marlins really got this offer and turned it down they must be confident they can get Josh Johnson signed. So hopefully within a couple of days we are here talking about an extension signing with Johnson instead of a potential trade.

3 way trade
Agreed on what has been said so far. People don't realize this really but if you look at Granderson's splits, all he is, is a glorified platoon player. He is terrible against lefties. I'm not looking now but his WAR against them is like -2.?. He has some pop and some speed and some good defense but that's only against righties. I agree, but I don't think they gave up too much to get him. Yeah, that's what I met to say when I said I agree with everyone is saying. The Tigers got an amazing deal. Verlander-Porcello-Scherzer that's insane. Coke and Schlreth to are pretty decent relievers that are young. Yankees got a lefty that can field is young pretty cheap to their standards. DBacks? Well, I honestly think they just wanted to say they made a trade.

Agreed it does get annoying, however you got to remember that the new stadium should change things because now we will be getting revenue from it. Loria has stated that the only money that will be spent is the money that is received from the Marlins itself, nothing is coming out of his pockets. With the new stadium coming if -a big if I know- Loria stays to true to his word then these young stars should be locked up long term. I remember reading an article stating that he wanted the team's payroll to be around 80 Million once they were playing in the new stadium, which I believe sets them around the Twins payroll around 16th in the league. The signing of Hanley Ramirez was a HUGE step in my opinion and he (Loria) just may be sticking to his word.

Rangers submitted offer for J.J.
I wouldn't do it.We have Logan Morrison at 1st base. The fact you wouldn't do it, makes this a great idea. Regardless, Via Twitter around 6:50pm (aka right now) JoeFrisaro: #Marlins Not shocking. But Marlins are hopeful to work out a long-term deal with Josh Johnson. Talks could reopen at any time. That's the best comeback in the history of this board. And I would do this. Can we include Uggla here to add another prospect or two? Holland?? Go big, Kasey Kiker and Martin Perez please.

News on Johnson Contract Talks
I don't see Texas trading away any of their young talent for a proven pitcher, I believe they go the Free Agent route to address that.

News on Johnson Contract Talks
First let me say I'm not in the camp of trading Johnson however if we were to trade him I believe Tampa Bay has the best prospects for a trade. Someone mentioned the Orioles, which believe me Matsuz/Tillman/Arrieta would be amazing but I doubt they trade any of them. Tampa Bay Rays: RHP Josh Johnson Florida Marlins: RHP Wade Davis or RHP Jeremy Hellickson OF Desmond Jennings SS Reid Brignac Problems with this trade though is I doubt Tampa wants to take on salary with Carl Crawford needing a new contract; though I expect them to trade him and if they do, I would expect Jennings is to much for them to give up because he is Crawford's replacement. Brignac was a once top prospect but with the emergence of Bartlett/Zobrist I believe he becomes expendable.
