Gaby Sanchez
The key is Gaby has hit well for stretches in the Majors and that indicates that he may have been struggling mechanically or with his approach. A good week or two can fix that pretty much.

Marlins gear in alternative places...
They said on the FSN broadcast tonight that a new Nike shipment is coming in next week. So hopefully that means more gear. I have been pretty underwhelmed at the offering of apparel so far.

Marlins gear in alternative places...
I just wanted to let everyone know that is looking for a better selection of new Marlins gear that Fansedge.com and Fanatics.com have a bunch of stuff that Marlins.com does not carry. I have been frustrated by this with the Marlins site. I eventually did some searching and found some very nice Nike Dri-fit shirts and performance apparel. FINALLY!. So I was just letting everyone know... if you are looking for stuff other then what Marlins.com has... take a look around... http://www.fanatics.com/MLB_Miami_Marlins_Mens_T-Shirts/Nike_Miami_Marlins_Dri-FIT_Cotton_Graphics_Performance_T-Shirt_-_Black http://www.fansedge.com/Florida-Marlins-Nike-Heathered-Black-Club-Logo-T-Shirt-_-1103454785_PD.html http://www.fansedge.com/Miami-Marlins-Nike-Black-Authentic-Collection-Dri-Fit-Logo-Legend-T-Shirt-_825773543_PD.html

Stanton's angst over Marlins Park's fences... (ESPN article)
Marlins park is no where near Petco. One thing that is not mentioned is that it is not just the night air in Petco, but the fact that the coastal winds absolutely kill balls in the air. Most of the time the wind is blowing directly into the face of hitters. Stanton will be fine at Marlins park, his lack of HRs there is mainly due to his slump and not the park itself.

Concerning Attendance...
For those talking about the attendance of the last several games please keep these things in perspective. Early season MLB attendance on the whole is iffy sometimes due to several factors... like other sports still going on etc... - Kids are still in school and that plays a large factor up until June. Parents bringing kids, High school kids, and college kids aren't able to regularly attend games just yet. - Distractions from other sports like the NBA are still going on like the Miami Heat. With the Heat in the middle of a playoff run, this will take some attention away from us for a while. - The MLB season hasn't heated up yet. The reality is A LOT of baseball fans don't really get into baseball season until late May or June. It is really early and some people wait out a while. I realize that we are in a brand new stadium and excitement should be high, but everyone has to be realistic. Attendance for professional Florida sports teams is iffy at best. Ask the Miami Heat. They sellout a lot of games, but fans are generally showing up by halftime. Some of you have also over exaggerated last night's attendance for the Cubs game. Yes it was bad EARLY. By about the 4th or 5 inning though most people showed up. It was easily 22-25,000 at its peak last night. Everyone has to be patient, the BUZZ is still there for this team and the stadium, but you have to be realistic. Attendance will be fine, but don't expect us to be the Boston Red Sox or Chicago Cubs.

Pre-reporting workouts in Jupiter
hmm where can I get one of those 305 dri fit shirts at? Thats what I'm saying. I want some of those dri-fit shirts and shorts that the players get. We had them last year with the older logo.

Marlins merchandise...
I'm guessing ur not in Miami but if anyone is, the Marlins en Miami store has plenty more than the online shop. I stopped by the other day and noticed a good number of things that I've never seen anywhere else, online or not. I figured this was potentially the case. I am hoping the online store catches up soon because I would love to buy my fair share of Marlins gear, but I don't really like what the online shop is offering. I want some Nike Dri Fit stuff like the batting practice shirts. Hopefully this changes soon.

Marlins merchandise...
Has there been any word on when we will see more merchandise with the new logo. I am eagerly awaiting some of the Nike BP apparel and other things that we had this time last year. The t-shirts are okay, but I am waiting for the nice stuff. Any word on when we will see more? The Marlins need to win some games before someone will take the risk of making more items. If they make a lot of stuff, and the team flops, then they are stuck with a lot of stuff they can't move. The Marlins, despite having one of the budding superstars in the game in Mike Stanton, don't have a single player in the top 20 in jersey sales. Atlanta has Heyward at 12, Nationals have Strasburg at 13 and Giants have Posey at 19. Hopefully Reyes & Stanton make that list after this year is over. If Hanley has a rebound year, perhaps he breaks into that list, but a lot of baseball fans really don't like him, despite what some of the more delusional people on this board believe. Its a fact of life, the Marlins are the red-headed step child of MLB, and will remain so for the immediate future. If they win this year and make it to the playoffs - there is a chance they can improve that. But there are a great many fans around the country and baseball experts that are convinced that MLB would be better off with no Marlins and some think that there should be no Rays either. That MLB should just come for Spring Training and then leave Florida until the next February. Many are actually rooting for the Marlins to flop and hope & pray (and expect) the attendance to not increase after the 1st week of games. I understand some of the hatred, especially if I was a lifelong Cubs fan and experienced the heartbreak of 2003. But the other fans, it just baffles me why they have this merciless loathing of the Marlins and can't make enough jokes about us, or our attendance. Tampa Bay, Kansas City and Pittsburgh all get a pass and have attendance not much better than us, so I just don't get it. This is not a issue of performance. I am simply inquiring as to if we have heard when there will be more merchandise available. The same type of merchandise that was available for the FLORIDA marlins. Every team gets this apparel and it is just a matter of time before the Miami Marlins get them as well. I am just wondering as to when and if anyone has heard when. http://shop.mlb.com/...7067722430-1063 Thanks, but I have checked the Marlins shop. The only thing they have is Majestic T-shirts right now for Miami Marlins apparel. I am hoping they post some new stuff soon that is more of the performance apparel either from Nike or Majestic.
